Avoid At All Costs.

I found this company through google, i was looking for a no nonsense intensive driving course that i would complete within a reasonable time frame, after all thats why im paying over the odds for this specific service.

This cost me £1379, £379 payable to the company via their website and as soon as you pay the deposit you are then instructed to pay the instructor they allocate you either cash or a bank transfer for the remaining amount, in my case £1000, I instantly had a bad feeling but i decided to proceed given that i had just paid the deposit and never imagined it would blow up in my face.

i was allocated a driving instructor (based in Holmes Chapel - ADI - 320104) who rang me the next day after being allocated to me by OWD, we arranged to start on 05/05/2019 and he asked for the money to be paid on that day which i did. From the 05/05/19 to 03/06/19 i had 4 hours over 3 sessions which i had to chase for, i have a string of unanswered texts and calls from the 22/05/19 and began thinking the worst so i contacted OWD and they informed me that he had stopped teaching and that this affected 6 other pupils being owed their money back. OWD then offered to refund me my deposit to "alleviate my financial loss"

I have had to file reports with the police and ActionFraud who are pursuing this matter as fraud.

To sum up, the way this company operates is basically as an agency that pass work onto self employed instructors that arent known to them or vetted appropriately, the system of you paying the company an extortionate amount to basically give you the name of an instructor local to you and then to find you a test date for you is massively flawed as you are essentially having someone thats been picked for you turn up to your house, handing over a large sum of cash to them and then waiting/relying on them to give you the service you purchased, its far too easy to be tricked and the company OWD dont want to know and rely on the fact that the instructors arent employed by them which im being told by ActionFraud and the Police isnt true and that they are responsible.

I urge anyone looking into an intensive driving course to find a local company who employ their own instructors and to never pay cash.

Rude / Money Grabbers Do Not Use

If there was an option for -766 out of 5, i would still think that was too generous. Long story short i booked a 15 hour intense driving course. i got given an instructor, who couldnt work after 7:30pm, his words ‘no driving instructor would work a night shift’ (sarcasm at its finest) - he was rude via text and the company were unhelpful. I had NOT taken any lessons, or stepped foot in a car yet with OneWeekDriving - so i asked for my deposit money of £200 back, and i will go elsewhere - they said i was not entitled..?? So they now owe me £200 - they did refund me £62 for ‘the test fee’! i NEVER even booked a test so i have no idea how i would of been refunded for it?! they are an ABSOLUTE JOKE - unhelpful and money grabbing idiots PLEASE dont make the same mistake as me, go with Aclaim they are SO helpful, and i passed my test in 3 weeks.

ps i will be taking this comlany to trading standards so this will not happen to any unlucky customers in future.

Do Not Use Them!! The Deposit You Pay Is Not Tow

Do not use them!!

The deposit you pay is NOT towards your lessons or anything other than basically 'commission and VAT'

The communication provided with this company is such a joke, they really have no clue!! Firstly the company provided me with an instructor who failed to contact me (apart from one phone call from an unknown number which I didn't return as I get a lot of these) when chasing up with the company I was told I could not get a refund but they would assign me another instructor. Then preceded to assign me the same instructor several times! Finally I got assigned an instructor who contacted me but I was on jury service so unable to take lessons until after this finished. I informed the instructor of this and we agreed to start lessons once I finished jury service. On my first lesson with the instructor I was told the company had booked about 50 practical tests for me without my knowledge, I understand the tests are booked at short notice but I hadn't even been taking lessons and had not been asked which test centres/ times/ days were suitable! So ridiculous!!

All I wish is a refund from this company and nothing more to do with them it has been a nightmare dealing with them every step of the way do not use them!

False Deposit Retainment And Cancellation Bank Dispute

This company cancelled my lessons after the instructor insisted on cash after I asked and agreed to pay by card as supposed allowed by their own T and Cs Because I said no card only and that's what we agreed the instructor cancelled my lessons and the office retained my deposit even though I had no say in the cancellation. I've had to go the the card company and the reason I only pay in card when paying these amounts of money is to protect from being fleeced which this company are trying to do.

Cancelled Twice

Booked with them in 2010 they cancelled the week before the instructor got appendicitis. Then rebooked march this year. Instructors unavailable then booked again for April just cancelled again. Instructor not working anymore.. useless company didn't even apologise

Steer Clear!!

I booked a course with this company and paid over £400 dor deposit. The next day I rang them to cancel and was confronted with a man telling me that my course had already been allocated to an instructor and my test had been booked... so I then rang the next day to be told nothing had been allocated! Their staff get defensive and evasive when asked for a refund and lie to your face about what's been booked so they can use their t&cs to keep your money if you go elsewhere. I had to put an official complaint in to get my money back and will be going to trading standards! Steer clear!!!

No Service And Cannot Have A Refund

I booked one week intensive driving lessons through the company, however I had received nothing, paid the money, waiting for about a month and then the instructor told me that she is fully booked.

I was asking for a refund, however they told me that they cannot refund me my money. Eventually, I needed to take the driving test without any help.

Do not book any lessons with this company. Their website shows that they will refund money 100%,but their got terms and conditions. So be aware everybody.

Shameful

Following over 28 emails and phone calls over the past few weeks, to try and recover some of the £540 deposit that my daughter paid for a driving course, purchased during a 'manic episode' I feel the only way to describe this company is 'shameful'.

They offered a rescheduling of the course, but my daughter is not in a mental condition to be able to consider driving lessons, therefore rescheduling was certainly not an option. By trying to encourage someone in her fragile condition to drive would be immoral.

As outlined in several emails, the company illustrated they could bend the rules as seen fit e.g offering to re schedule in an attempt to get more money from us. Despite wasting a lot of time, phoning the company and emailing, I was disgusted by the responses and shocked that the deposit didn't even include a single driving lesson - in her case the deposit is being held ‘under false pretences’.

• A rescheduled driver has not been allocated to her yet, therefore the deposit can be refunded

• The fees for the driving and theory tests amount to less than £100

• The admin fee, cost of making a phone call to an instructor and the commission for the company obviously covers the bulk of the £540 deposit.

I expected as a minimum, for the cost of the theory and driving tests to be repaid and at least half of the deposit, which under the circumstances was more than a generous offer and a compromise.

In addition, I expected to have 50% deposit refunded, plus the cost of the tests to my daughter’s account by Monday. If this didn't happen, I stated that I would post a detailed review and response on the site on Monday (including some of the email responses which expose the company in a very negative light). I have received nothing in terms of a refund and am sickened by the experience, that a vulnerable young woman, with significant mental health issues has been exploited.

DO NOT USE THIS UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - they are immoral and the company is disgraceful, praying on vulnerable clients.

A shameful experience!

Discusting

Have been continuously told I would be starting next week and the instructor would be contacting me, called them multiple times takes about half an hour to get through and have to call more than once. Was told by the same person that answers the phone every time that it is against the rules of the company to speak to a manager. If I want to complain to send an email. It's now bank holiday weekend and nothing can be done. Tried to get money back but the man put the phone down on me 2 mins before closing time.

Do not use. It is a one man scheme, they did the same to my brother.

Money Taken. No Service. There Are No Bad Reviews

Money taken. No service. There are no bad reviews on their site because you can't leave a review unless you've had lessons and they edit them. Two persons booked separately in Oxfordshire. Both have had the same experience. Money taken and weeks of donotreply emails advising instructor is unavailable. No viable contact details. Stay away.
