I Was Very Impressed By The Improvement Which This
I was very impressed by the improvement which this cable afforded to my system. The soundstage is clear and detailed. Used with Eltax Liberty 5+ speakers and Marantz PM 57 amp.
Bi-Wiring works by using two separate cables to carry low and high frequencies, the speaker has separate inputs for each cable, and you can either use a dual-output amp or two separate amps to drive the speakers. The resulting effect is that, as the treble frequencies are carried apart from the bass, the sound quality is preserved to a higher standard, particularly over longer cable runs.
Don't worry... Until about a year ago, I didn't know what it meant, either! ;)
Pardon my ignorance but can you explain in more detail how biwiring works.
Am I to assume that you have two pairs of wires carring the same signal or do I need a special amp to use this feature.
This cable in particular is currently on offer at Richer Sounds (richersounds.co.uk)...
Only £2.99/m - Bought some myself only last week, used with Mission 702e and Technics Bi amp and for the price I can't praise it enough.

Recently Bought Gale 315 Biwire Which Sounded Supe
Recently bought Gale 315 Biwire which sounded superb but was too clumpy for our decor (I couldn't hide 2 runs under the carpet). Changed it for the QED silver and noticed that the bass is not as full sounding but otherwise the same, perhaps marginally clearer treble. The cable is nice and small though. Im now looking to keep this for the treble and buy a cheaper wire for the Bass.
