Gemini SL-2400

Gemini SL-2400 Turntables on paper they have more torque than technics, so when my friend got a pair i was eager to see if this big claims held water, it was pricewise a bit cheaper and had a nice little Lcd display, on 1st glance i thourght they looked rather good, and as direct drive turntables go, it sounded pretty nice too.

The problem i find is they dont put the theory into practice and these decks are cheaper that technics for a reason: they are not as good, while the pitch gauge was a very pleasing aspect that was about it, the platter was not responsive enough, and the tone arm wont be winning any design awards.

Perhaps thats the reason you dont see them in pubs/clubs, gemini as a whole make averge dj products while this is above averge its not superb, and its hitting the price range of betterdecks it will not sell well enough.

You can do worse than buying these sure, but you could also do much better (technics, vestax, stanton straight)

Gemini sl2400 are better than 1210's and cheaper
