Sound Quality Not As Good As Expected, The Biggest
Sound quality not as good as expected, the biggest let down was that it does not transfer all the album art from media player, and you just get a message on your Clix saying no picture available. I also bought the cradle, which for the price has no value. It will cost a lot less to buy a Nano and some speakers for the same effect. After pondering over this buy for a week I was so disappointed I sent it back the same day I bought bought it.
Album Art does work on the Clix - you just have to update the album properties in the iriver Plus 3 software - its not difficult and only has to be done once.
I think you should have had more time with the player - it has loads of features (more than the nano) and I certainly have no problem transferring media very quickly using either iriver software, windows media player or or just drag and drop.

I Got The Clix Because I Had A Budget When Buying
I got the Clix because I had a budget when buying an MP4 player. I wanted something packed with stuff but not too expensive. I checked out the Nano, but everyone hates the screen and little glitches on the player. The iRiver Clix had so much more packed into it, and it was value for money compared to the iPod.
PC User really gave the Clix a bad rating. CNET gave the Clix a higher rating than the iPod Nano! PC User must not have checked the player out as well as it should have been. Although the Clix looks exactly the same as the U10, it has more options, upgraded firmware, better options and extras. (Did I mention it has an alarm clock?), and the fact that it has a Sudoku flash game will make it more of a winner. I absolutely suck at the game though.
Compared to the iPod Nano, I think it looks way better! It doesn't mess up as much, and it's packed with more stuff too. I think it's better than the iPod, and I did a lot of homework before buying my player. For $270AUD it was definitely in my budget.
If you want a video player get a portable media device. Much better and bigger screen too... plus much more memory.
It's an awesome player. Don't let the fact it looks like the U10 phase you. It's slick, sexy and really portable. This is the ultimate portable entertainment MP4 player I've ever used. If this review and the sexy player doesn't get you, nothing will... unless it's a more expensive player... haha.
Hope this helps.
