The Sound System! Yep System, Because It Is More T
The sound system! yep system, because it is more than a card. It was easy to install and setup, on XP no setup is required unless you want to make use of the remote function. The connections on the Live Drive are standard and varied from midi to optical, with a headphone socket and a variable mic input it covers all angles. To sum up it is a all round good egg and well worth the money. So go and buy one now if you need one or not.

Loads Of Inputs, Loads Of Outputs, Loads Of Effect
Loads of inputs, loads of outputs, loads of effect, great quality and the live drive panel makes your friends cry with envy!, Any questions???
Can be used with virtually any input or output device ever devised for sound, except a gramaphone maybe!
I bought my Platinum Live 5.1, 12 months ago and it has really changed my gaming experience. However, anyone thinking of installing this item should be aware that some games don't like it (i.e. Unreal Tournament) and certain varieties of Via motherboard chipsets are uncomfortable with it (I run a Soltek 75KA/KJ with a 900Mhz Athlon). There are chipset and software upgrades available though, at the respective websites, to overcome the associated problems (Msgsvr32 errors, screen freezing, crashing etc.) Since installing these upgrades I don't have these problems anymore, but to begin with my computer nearly went freefalling without a parachute.
