Acer Aspire 5735

i used this one great service , no heating problem.Ram and processor performance was great.

ive had this laptop for 2 weeks. fully charged it says 100% with 39 mins. out of no where it just powers off i have lost assignments due to this happening. i use my laptop for regular use for school

I have had this laptop for around 4 to 5 years now and it has just completely fallen apart. My battery life lasts for around twenty minutes at the most, it overheats which then causes the mouse pad to keep taking me back to the last website I was on. Two of my friends have the exact same laptop but for a shorter amount of time than me and its happened to them as well. Its just not at all good and should not be advertised as an amazing laptop!

Firstly I would definately not reccomend this laptop to anybody. There are many things bad about this laptop like the battery life when fully charged is 39mins there are also lots of other things. I have had this laptop for roughly 3 or 4 years now and the fan is making noises, the laptop gets slower and slower, things dont respond and parts are braking and falling out like the card in the side I have had to put blue tack on it to stop it from falling out. If you are looking for a good laptop I would suggest the acer aspire 5742z. Just now as I am typing this up the laptop froze for 10-15 seconds. I hope this helps.

the thing is with this computer it is that its fine for about the first year but after that it slowly falls apart ...i have the charger port breaking, the fan now overheats all the time and its got so noisy i don't want anybody to have the same problems so please don't buy it its not as good as it looks...just don't judge a book by its covers hope this helps.

Had problems originally as awful Vista was installed. Once this was removed and upgraded to Windows 7 I haven't had a problem since! I would recommend this laptop BUT only if you ditch Vista (overheating and shut down will occur if you don't - the problem is the software not the hardware). Its great being larger with the proper calculator on the side (studying accounts so was a selling point). Keep an eye out for great deals, I got one so am very very very happy! great for students and general home use! 2 years down the line I am still a happy customer and would return to the brand. No problems with the power cord or battery life.

The internal or external microphones do not work. There is evidently a design or manufacturing fault with this laptop.

This laptop was only good for about the first few weeks then I ran in to so many problems.

It overheats and turns off - not great when you are working on assignments.

It's become extremely slow and lags when trying to do anything. So frustrating!

The power cord has split and falls out of the laptop constantly. Which is very annoying as the battery doesn't last long at all.

The hard drive is extremely small - made even smaller by Vista saving everything twice on the hard drive.

I will never buy another acer again!

Buying this laptop was a huge mistake. It worked okay for the first year.

But as soon as the guarantee ran out that's when all the problems started happening. My battery lasts less than an hour now, which is frustrating. The worst thing is that at least two times a day it overheats and turns itself off. Do not buy this laptop!! I should have known not to trust acer, they havent exactly got the best reputation..

Owned my 5735 for over 18 months and it hasn't missed a beat. Im surprised at some of the other reviews. Battery, charger and speed have not been an issue. Works as well as the day i bought it. Would recommend this laptop as one of the best value for money laptops out there. Can only assume there's a batch of faulty laptop from manufacture. Great laptop.
