The Acer Aspire 6390g 744g32mn Is A Great Laptop,

The Acer Aspire 6390G 744G32Mn is a great laptop, priced at £599 (Comets) which is a great price for what your get with this laptop. An Intel Duo P7450 (2.13GHz), 4GB Ram, 320GD HD with two partitions, Nvidia Geforce 9600GT 1GB Ram and a DVDRW. It comes with Vista Premium Edition pre-installed, the only disappointment was the battery life which is about 1 hour, this doesn't bother me that much as I use it mainly at home. I can play Call of Duty Modern Warfare or Battlefield 2 with an external keyboard & mouse, medium settings with no problems. This is a good around laptop, if you don't want pay £1000+ for a gaming laptop this is a good alterative.

This Particular 16" Acer Aspire (6930g-744g) Model

This particular 16" Acer Aspire (6930G-744G) model is equipped with a P7450 Core 2 Duo Processor, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 1GB GEFORCE 9600GT Graphics, DVD multi writer and Dolby Home Theatre Virtual Surround Sound.

This makes a great multipurpose desktop replacement or home entertainment laptop; however it is not without its flaws.

Pros:

Value for money

Looks good with blue LEDs

Good processor, memory, storage & connectivity.

Build quality

Decent sound system

Cons:

Tracker pad was hit and miss.

Limited LCD Screen resolution - can be a problem for some FPS games

Short Battery Life

1080 HD only displayed on an external monitor/TV

Overall I would say this laptop offers good value for money if Blue Ray is not essential, though would recommend checking the screen resolution is suitable before purchasing.
