Bought Three Of These Acer Aspire One A150 Units A
Bought three of these Acer Aspire One A150 units as soon as they came out in Saudi with Windows XP and a decent hard drive. I didnt fancy the Linux one as all our main pc's and laptops are MS Office orientated.
Main reason to buy these units was for their portability and to allow my family to carry them around as needed on their travels in UK and elsewhere.
Easy to use and set up, decent speeds in use and certainly easy to use in WiFi locations.
Only drawback is dont put this unit on your lap................ it gets very HOT in use. Seems to be a common complaint though for the Windows XP version (cannot comment on the Linux version)
Reasonably priced and available in multiple colours

I've been using this Acer Aspire One A150 for the past 6 months and its great. Light, portable and does everything I ask it to.Only thing I would say is that investing in a larger battery is a must.

The Acer Aspire One Is Small, Nice Screen And Keyb
The Acer Aspire One is small, nice screen and keyboard. Plenty of slots. Touchpad is easy to get used to despite negative reviews. I did find the battery life somewhat short but I'll go with that for the reduced weight and bulk.
It simply does exactly what I wanted it to do - provide a daily back up of my photos as I travel. And it handles Adobe Photoshop Elements well.

I Didn't Care That The Acer Aspire One A150 Had Li
I didn't care that the Acer Aspire One A150 had Linux or only 512mb ram because anybody competent enough and has the dexterity to open the case can upgrade the Ram to 1.5gb. Involved dismantling the laptop but there are a few useful guides on youtube regarding ram upgrades. Again, youtube has some guides for the installation of XP using a flash disk. At the end of the day £199 was a very cheap price to pay for a netbook with a 1.6ghz atom. 1GB ram was only £8 from crucial and I had a copy of XP somewhere too.Keyboard is very nice and is more ergonomic than the EEEPC. 120gb hard drive can swallow my MP3 collecction and my photographs.
Very good value for money but standard specifications and linux can be a bit miniscule for some.If your techincally competent, it can be upgraded at a very cheap cost. 120gb hdd, 1.6ghz atom processor... eee pc specs can't get close for the pricepoint of £199

1 month after I bought it, out of nowhere...it went blank completely. no sign of life at all.
And since I move to other country, the local Customer Service said (over the phone call) that I should bring it to the origin country when I bought it (d'uh!), even I bought a genuine laptop that has warranty.

Very Light And Good Clear Screen Presentation
Very light and good clear screen presentation
The item, that we bought through Tesco direct, I had to return. Although it was the correct model it did not contain the correct software or hard drive. A great disappointment for may son before he leaves home!
