This Is Bottom
I do not recommend buying this device, since this laptop only gave me a headache. Constantly slows down, it takes a long time to load, the sound ceases to work, periodically it hangs, the touchpad does not work.

Will Never Buy Another Asus.
With a Corei3 processor and windows 8, I thought that the smart looking, 2.2ghz ASUS X501A with 350GB hard drive and 4GB memory would be a pretty good bet... It wasn't!
1) The touch pad keeps freezing, often when the computer has been asleep so you can't scroll down pages or use the multi touch function without restarting the laptop. At one time, it stopped all together and I had to reset my laptop and lose all my files to get it to work as ASUS tech support (don't get me started) had absolutely no idea what they were talking about, I think it was a North Korean contact centre that dealt with my issue!
2) The audio jack is very poor and doesn't hold headphones very well at all, they just fall out!
3)The speakers are very badly placed and not designed with reality or practicality in mind whatsoever, they are under the motherboard and need to be on a perfectly flat and solid surface to be audible. On the subject of sound... the microphone is even worse, I went through the whole windows voice recognition improvement program and it couldn't even understand "start listening"!
4) The screen is stupidly bright, on the lowest setting in the evening I find myself sat with sunglasses on, no joke! I never have the screen on full brightness in the fear of the RAF suing me for blinding all their pilots.
Do not buy an ASUS.. EVER!!!
