Very poorly programmed - how can 'software' companies get away with producing shoddy (& expensive) rubbish like this ??

The Roxio CD didn't even make a good discus when I finally lost my rag with it & tossed it out of the window.

I Opted For Roxio Easy Cd & Dvd Creator 6 Because

I opted for Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 because I was looking for a program that had specific features for making mix-cd's like cross-fade. I thought the extra programs and DVD burning features would be cool to have as well, but now I wish I had read the reviews here before I shelled out the bucks for this one. Same problems... everything I've tried to use in this suite of programs has bogged down and locked up my computer. I spent a lot of time going in circles with "support" to no avail. I ended up with a ton of junk taking up space on my computer.

Roxio Easy Cd & Dvd Creator 6 Is A Very Unreliable

Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 is a Very unreliable suite. DirectCD used to work in version 5 - the replacement, Direct-To-Disk hangs up my DVD/CD drive. Normal operations, like Label Creator, are unpredictable. Roxio does not offer fixes for these bugs - instead they want you to upgrade, for $40, to version 7 (which has the same or different set of bugs, I'm told).

This Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 is basically junk. It is full of bugs and flaws that will cause your sytem to lock. I have never been able to get it to work correctly on any of my 4 computers. The Roxio Technical Support is less than worthless.

I wish I had never bought it. The old version that was produced by Adaptec is much more reliable. Actucally it is a different product entirely. My advice: AVOID ROXIO AT ALL COSTS,unless you want to waste your money and your time!

On This The Latest Roxio Software There Is A Dvd B

ON THIS THE LATEST ROXIO SOFTWARE THERE IS A DVD BUILDER FOR EDITING DVDs AND TITLES CAN BE IMPORTED FROM EXISTING DVDs TO EDIT ACCORDING TO ROXIO.

UNFORTUNATELY LIKE THE PREVIOUS ROXIO 5 SOFTWARE THE ROXIO 6 IS PRONE TO ERRORS.

THE SOFTWARE KEEPS STICKING AND VOB FILES (dvd titles) CANNOT BE IMPORTED.

IF A DVD+RW DISC IS PUT INTO YOUR COMPUTER BURNER EVEN IF IT IS "PROTECTED" THE AUDIO TRACK WILL BE COMPLETELY DELETED AND WILL RENDER THE DISC USELESS.

THIS SOFTWARE IS BAD ENOUGH BECAUSE IT GETS STUCK ALL THE TIME, BUT WHEN IT WIPES THE AUDIO TRACK FROM A DVD ITS TOO MUCH.

ROXIO KNOW OF THESE PROBLEMS.

This software is worthless. It is full of bugs and will make your sytem crash or lock up.

I am sorry I purchased it. I wish I had researched more discussion groups. Wow! what an eye-opener.

Be warned: if you buy Roxio Easy CD&DVD creator v. 6 you will be sorry. Shop around for something better.

P.S. Roxio support is LESS THAN worthless.

Like The Previous Version The Roxio Gives Very Goo

Like the previous version the Roxio gives very good disc at once copies both on CD & DVD.

However trying to edit DVDs in the new build section is time consuming and it simply is to unreliable.

Most of the time the software gets "stuck" & the only thing to do is turn your computer off & try again from scratch.

In the build movie section it is suppose to be possible to import titles from a DVD for editing however in practice it is unable to take a section of footage from the DVD into the "build" or "edit" section because it simply keeps locking up.

The only real use of this software is to record a complete DVD to DVD, if you are thinking of buying this software for any film editing forget it.

The Roxio Cd/dvd Burner Is A Free Programme When P

The roxio cd/dvd burner is a free programme when purchasing a dell computer.

when recording a whole dvd with no editing the finished copy is excellent.

It's hardly possible to tell the difference between the master & the copy.

The problems begin when trying to copy a part or a single title from dvd to dvd.

Albert einstein would have problems trying to understand the instuctions on this.

When inserting a full dvd into your computer the titles should be shown on the moniter like they would on your tv screen.

Then you could simply click on the titles you wish to record or edit.

Instead you spend (and waste) plenty of time looking for files.

it's an easy job made hard.

You are correct. This software is worthless. There are better things out there. Warning if you buy Easy CD v. 6 you will regret it.

Well, perhaps that is true if you can get Nero Ultimate 6 installed so it will run! I've been trying since Christmas to install it on my Windows XP and have yet to get it going! The tech support for NERO is next to non existant and takes 7 - 10 days for a response that basically does little......but then you could paid the $1.29 per minute for telephone support! Personally, I'd change their box from red to yellow to represent the Lemon that this product really is!

The Roxio is over complicated and individual titles cannot be recorded from DVD to DVD.

The only use for this software is using "copy entire disc".

Apparently Nero is the software to have.

Bin the Roxio.
