I'm fed up of my iPhone getting scratched or accidentally splashed with tea when I'm working, and this seems like the ideal solution.

+ Firstly the whole object is quite beautifully made from golden lacquered bamboo with smooth edges and a really minimal and discreet design. This is a pretty good starting point, aesthetically speaking. I think it would look good on most desks, and probably brighten up a dull office corner.

+ It provides a really nice and open display for your iPhone, which makes a difference from the poor thing being half-buried under scraps of paper. It's also still easy to use your phone when it's in the stand, as there is a hole where the Home Button is for convenience, plus the hole allows enough space for you to actually plug your phone into a charger – pretty crucial if your battery life is as poor as mine is.

+ There are several slits on the side of the holder, which would be great for storing notes and cards or just general odds and ends. I also think you could use them to keep your cables or earphones neat and untangled.

- I guess if you aren't interested in having a dock for your phone then this is not the thing for you! It's probably best as a permanent phone dock because of the extra space on the side for notes, so if you're after a portable holder then this might not work for you.
