BlackBerry Bold 9780

This one's the best bold in the series. Its Battery Timings, Features and Design are all just perfect.

I have been using blackberry bold 9780 from the last 2 years, i bought this phone after having few reviews about this phone on internet and friends..

but to be frank i was totally disappointed because of its speed, it doesnt even posses an average phone speed, that made me really disappointed and let off.

it might be cheap and good for below average phone user but not an cell freak.

it has few of the newest features such as push email, gprs, facebook on homescreen, bluetooth and few of the other features but all those activities lack speed due to its slow processor..

so i would personally recommand u to not go for these cellphone thank you..

i have had a blackberry bold for 2 years now and i am not impressed if something comes off the phone e.g the back after a few days everything starts to fall off this is not a solid phone also if you use this phone for its rightfull purpouse ( enternet,bbm,email,text,call,voicemail) the phone will soon become very slow and freeze alot but finally the worst thing about this phone has to be the battery life use it for 2 minutes and the batterys dead ?

I got this phone for the BMM and emails as I work on the go a lot and wanted to be able to stay in touch with all my friends whilst abroad. The BMM is great, no problems although if you are on pay as you go be aware that you have to pay an extra fee as it requires a special internet package - on vodafone for example you pay an extra £5 a month for it. The emails are also fab, very easy to set up multiple accounts. The dissapointing thing is the phone is always freezing - this isn't due to me dropping it or anything, I have a lot of friends with Blackberrys and they all say the same thing. The phone will randomly switch itself off/freeze for ages. When it's working the phone is great but the freezing is very irritating! I will be going for an iPhone next time! Also, battery life is poor, needs charging every night - if I forget it dies on me!

I can't decide. I've always been more the traditional BlackBerry user, so the 9780 is a bit more suited to my personality. But until I get the ability to kill the homescreen views on BlackBerry 6 on the 9780 (be it with a theme or a setting), I think I'd go Torch as it's kind of pulling me away from that total speed of use mentality anyways (and I'm sick of accidentally scrolling to the next view on the 9780). I think what I'm actually going to do for rest of this month, for a bit of nostalgia, is actually kick it on my old Bold 9000 for a while. I miss that keyboard! :)

Recently I upgraded my phone with Vodafone to a Blackberry Bold, due to the recommendations made by the upgrade team at Vodafone.

On arrival I was pleasantly surprised with the Quality of the Blackberry and the easy process in setting up the main features. I remember how difficult is was with my old Nokia phone, setting the time and date etc, with the Blackberry, it was so simple.

As well as recieving the phone, I also recieved a charge, head set for hands free and a great Case to protect it with, this added to the Value for money. I have been actively using the array of Features and Apps that come with the Blackberry, which I must say is very impressive.

Compared to my Nokia mobile phone, the Blackberry Bold is 100% better, with lots more to use and take advantage with.

Once I set up the main features I also then activated the phone onto my home broadband, which now allows me to Surf the internet on a seperate channel and saving me from going over my set bandwidth limit with Vodafone.

All in all this phone is Brilliant, I take my hat off to Blackberry and catn wait to learn what else this phone can do.

I decided to purchase a Blackberry as Id heard a lot of positive things about them. I went for the Bold 9780 in white, its a nice looking phone with a good screen size.

I was a bit worried when I opened the box as it looked quite complicated, but after 10 minutes it was all set up and ready to go. The phone is really easy to use, I am used to touch screen phones but I love this one. I love the fact you can link Facebook, email etc to the Blackberry and all your notifications/messsages/emails will instantly be delivered to you automatically without having to even log on to the web! The qwerty keyboard makes texting and emailing very easy and the keys are just the right size for typing.

The only thing I would say I am slightly disappointed in is the camera quality. It has a 5MP camera but the quality isnt great compared to other 5MP cameras Ive had on other phones. So if you take a lot of photos then this probably isnt for you.

The sound quality is amazing too, I have lots of music on my phone and the quality is very clear with a good sound level.

I also found the internet to be very fast at loading, despite some people telling me the internet is notoriously slow on Blackberries.

Overall Im really pleased with the phone and I think I'll be sticking to Blackberry from now on. I would highly recommend this phone.

I have had this phone for a year now (since it first came out) and it does everything i wish. I am not a buisness woman and i don't mind an odd game now and again.

Yes, you do have to restart the phone almost every week, yet all blackberrys need it to do so. also if you let it die, completely, it does it for you. And if you dont restart your phone it freezes.

It is brilliant for contacting others so; emails, sms, mms, bbm, phone calls. It also has a extremely nice layout, even though all the new blackberrys do it is still very easy to use.

I always have signal and never drop calls (I am on Vodafone), however this may be to do with that i live in London.

Blackberry App World also has many great games which my younger brother loves to play when i visit him.

Due to me disliking touch screen phones, i hate the iPhone, yet this makes the blackberry Bold 9780 perfect for me, the full keypad is easy to type and makes typing alot quicker.

I love this phone and if it broke i would buy another. 5 stars!
