Very Frustrating Phone
My husband and I bought these phones as they were on a deal at out local 3 store, and we got contracts including everything we needed for £25 a month for both phones so good value.
The phones we tried out in the store worked well, had good screens and did everything we needed them to, for me this was mostly just calls and texts with the occasional bit of internet use, for my husband lots of video streaming.
Both the phones worked well for a couple of months or so, but less than a year down the line they are frustratingly slow. Internet pages take an age to load, even when at home on the wifi, with full signal strength and sitting right next to the modem. Videos lag, the whole phone freezes up for no apparent reason, sometimes while waiting for apps to load it stops and dumps you back at the home screen. Even the contacts list takes forever sometimes.
We have tried to use as little storage as possible to see if this speeds things up but it doesn't.
In all the phone is horribly unresponsive, the only reason I haven't thrown it out the window of a moving car yet is I still have more than a year left on the contract, and can't afford to go and buy a better model outright.
It makes calls and texts fine, but frankly so does my Dad's 12 year old Nokia.
They are cheap, but not worth the little money they cost.

Ok For First Phone
Phone really lags when you have two or more apps open. Very basic on what it can do. doesn't even have a button to take a picture so quite difficult when trying to take picture. no flash either.
Ok For A First Time Android User
I got this phone as an upgrade from a blackberry. I like the colours of the screen and the clarity.
I have trouble with the touch screen when sending messages and the phone often changes words to whatever it thinks is right which i cant figure out how to change. Ive had problems with the internet not showing right and it being hard to select some things. Also tried removing the facebook app which it wont allow.
It was described as basic and it does look basic and plastic.
The best feature is the music player with beats audio, it sounds fab.

Nice Smartphone For The Price
I have been using the HTC desire c for a couple of months now and think its a very good phone for the price, £179 sim free. The android OS is easy to use and navigate through which is good as its my first android phone. The screen quality isn't the best but for that you need to pay a little bit more. It didn't come with an SD card which is a shame because a lot of the apps will not run without one. I ve had no problems with the battery life, probably use it for a couple of hours a day and charge it every 2 days. It also has the beats studio feature for better sound quality. All in all a descent phone.
