I Do Like My Nokia Phone, Especially Since It Came

I do like my nokia phone, especially since it came free with my contract. The GPS System was amazing at times when I got lost and with the internet functionality I could get Google Maps not to only pinpoint my position but also to show me the way to the pub where I was meeting my friends.

There are a few anooyances, as there always are, so for example it is too easy to send a text message by accident before it is finished or go into a different menu whilst you are typing.

Also I would like the ability to assign different sounds to different alarms, but few phones offer you that.

All in all, a good phone.

In General I Quite Like The Nokia N95 Phone, It Ha

In general I quite like the Nokia N95 phone, it has a good camera (even though it can be a bit slow at times), a good (from what I can tell) reception and I even found use for the in-built GPS (together with Google Maps), which has helped me prevent from getting lost on gooad a many occasion.

There are a few irritants though, for example it is easy to hit the wrong key and loose a message that you have just been typing, and it is not always possible to switch to the writing mode (Predictive, numbers etc) you want as it has its own ideas about what modes are suitable to which situation.

Still, I am quite happy with this phone and I use it instead of an MP3 player as well...

Have had the Nokia N95 for 18 months now. Its a great phone to have.

The phone as such works brilliantly, the standby time is good and requires less charging. But this phone is not just about the talking part of it, its the other things that make this phone great.

GPS: Have used this quite often. Especially when lost in the town centres. Works great with Nokia maps (comes free with the handset). Sometimes does take a few minutes to hook up to the satellites though.

Camera: 5 mega pixel. Brillant. As good as having a 'proper' non-SLR camera.

+ve: Great phone. GPS and Camera are great

-ve: Not a touch screen.

I've Had This Nokia N95 Phone Now For 2 Years. I'v

I've had this Nokia N95 phone now for 2 years. I've been looking for to change, but to this date, I cannot find anything close to its quality. I believe the handset was first released in the UK in March and I bought it in July. I've NEVER had a technical problem. Yes the one of the clip on the battery cash broke about 6 months ago, then again, I'm not sure I've had a phone this long. GPS is great and free if not using navigation with internet connection (yes, which is possible), photos and videos are brilliant, better than my old camera, which I chucked, music sound is good with a good headset or speakers (of course maybe not as good as an iPod, but it is only a mobile phone), and all the applications available or that can be added are excellent. For example, I also use my phone as a spirit level and I can switch off the sound by just flipping the phone over. I love the organiser, the sync with outlook, the map updates on the GPS, the shortcuts, the personalisation possibilities, the one touch buttons, in short, EVERYTHING. The slider protects the keys and is less combersome than flip phones. Some of you might say, the battery life is not great but if you do close the applications when you've finished using them instead of just closing the phone immediatly, it last a lot longer. I charge mine every 3 days and before you ask, I spend about 45 euros worth of calls per months with unlimited calls to 3 numbers and unlimited txt. The connectivity (3G/WIFI/GPS) is more than satisfying, not as great as my PC, then again, THIS IS A MOBILE PHONE. :) The best thing about this phone is the connectics. By this I mean the standard plug in on the headphone (jack) and mini usb. This means I don't have to carry my cables with me everywhere if I want to transfer something and I'm be able to use my speakers and headphones with other equipment (TV, PC, laptop...). It also means that I can view my pictures and videos from any TV just by plugging the phone into it using the video/sound cables. All this to say, that should you need an all rounder and you don't like touchscreens like me, this phone is I think to this date, still the best on the market. Rather than spending a fortune on a new phone, I bought a new housing cover for $20 from ecaseshop, who delivered a full replacement housing (shell, cover and tools) within 15 days. It took me less than 1h to replace it (armed with a fine clean paintbrush to clean all the dust inside) and I have now a brand new phone, which already had eveything set up the way I like it! I'm now waiting for the same phone to come out with a better camera still and maybe even better sound.

Have Been Dissapointed By This Nokia N95 Phone Sin

Have been dissapointed by this Nokia N95 phone since I got it.Navigation is hampered by softkeys that seem ultrasensitive, sending you to bizarre places every time you slightly mishit 'cancel' when trying to delete in a text message. The clunky design, while somethign I originally liked (i'm bored of sleek wanna be futuristic designs), has a lot of edges, gaps and corners which quickly fill with dust - unpleasant. My biggest bug bear, however, is the battery cover. Flimsy and poorly designed, the clips broke withing a month. I've since met 4 or 5 other people and seen N95s with battery covers similarly selotaped in place.Interestginly, this was fixed for the 8GB successor, with stronger, better designed clips holding the phone together. Why wasn't this picked up in procut tests when the 8gb was released so soon after the original model?

I Got The Nokia N95 8gb One As An Upgrade From My

I got the Nokia N95 8gb one as an upgrade from my service provider and overall I've been pretty pleased with it - aside from the odd positioning of the on/off key the phone itself is quite good. I would definitely recommend it it is a very good phone. A raft of features including GPS, a customizable menu feature (I prefer the list style) the office tools and so forth. I have to be honest I have not had the battery problem others have had.
