The Canon Powershot A560 Is Comfortable To Hold. B

The Canon PowerShot A560 is comfortable to hold. Basic functions are straightforward and easy to use ie zoom, different settings for taking photos of kids, landscapes, back-lit subjects etc. Uses AA batteries so cheap to replace/re-charge. Picture quality is very good (especially close-ups) Macro close-focus is quite good though not quite as close as the old version. The more advanced settings are not always easy to find - some you get at with the menu button and some through the function button and I do not find it easy to remember which are where. The picture quality of landscape/ far-distance shots lacks impact.

Overall a very good compact camera, particularly good for taking photos of people, animals and wildlife. I have not used it much indoors so I cannot comment on how it functions there.

It's an excellent camera with the usual Canon quality, offers an excellent price/benefit ratio, showing all the amateur typical characteristics and some further pro-adds.

My Dear Mother Wanted One Of Those New "digital Ca

My dear mother wanted one of those new "digital cameras" She had heard people say they were getting them for $80 - $140. She said she had heard of one called "Easyshare" and was interested in that because it had "easy" in the name.(That was her sole reason, seriously) I said I would see what I could find for her. There are lots of cheap digitals out there, but I found in my research that this camera was actually pretty good.

Ordered it online. It came. Mom loves it! I was worried that it would be too complicated for her. No, the modes and uses of this camera are not difficult to figure out. I began to see that it was just as good as the Sony I bought 2 years ago, better even. Mom's taking pictures, movies and printing them up herself. I am jealous. I am now thinking of getting a camera in the Canon series for myself.
