Samsung Digimax 230

This camera is a great camera for the price with some nice basic features. I bought this camera for an add on to the computer. ebay shots etc...This camera is no replacement for my 35 mm canon.I could of spent more money for a better digital camera but i didn't want exspensive outdated technolgy lying around.when a few more years go by I can get one better than the canon A80 for half the price.

All in all, the Samsung Digimax 230 digital camera is good value for money.

This Samsung Digimax 230 digital camera cost me £164 in Makro's. You can use it 'out of the box' to take pictures, but other features may require you to read the manual. Once you understand all the functions, it is a pleasure to use. Pictures are well exposed before any adjustment is needed. My main complaint is that the 5 funtion button for the menu is small and if you do not press the extreme edge of the button, you select `ok` by accident and either come out of the menu or select a function you did not want. I looked at other cameras that were in the same original £200 price band of this camera and they all had the same features and specs. It was cost and package that made me choose this camera and I am pleased overall.
