I Have Just Returned From My Holiday With Some Fan
I have just returned from my holiday with some fantastic photos. Unfortunately my 10 year old daughter was trying to delete one of the photos and erased - all frames - all our holiday pics erased !! does anyone know whether there is anywhere in the camera that these are programmed in the event of deleting by mistake - Help please ....

Hi Nicolette
I realise your article was written about 1 1/2 years ago! There's a brilliant programme: "Card Recovery" which is a one-off purchase and recovers all data (including videos) on 'deleted' photos as long as the memory card has not been formatted. One pays online then the photos re-appear: brilliant! I've used it at least 4 times since I bought it some years ago. My niece recommended it ... hope this isn't too late and you find it helpful. Its Easy and reliable! The macro feature works well and a fantastic optical zoom! I have had mine a couple of years, The only down side if any is it struggles inside with poor light but the flash can be used most of the time to compensate

I Bought My Fuji Finepix S602 About 18 Months Ago,
I bought my Fuji Finepix S602 about 18 months ago, new, at a discounted bargain price of £210,and have never regretted it.
It is an excellent versatile camera, and the enhanced Super CCD does provide excellent results, although only technically 3 MP.
This is plenty good enough for the vast marjority of photographs, and I regularly print vivid, colourful 10 by 8 prints.
What more does the average keen amateur need?
Although I also have a Canon 300d, I often prefer the Fuji, as it is lighter than the Canon, when fitted with an equivalent 28-200mm lens, and less obstrusive in general use, and the quality seems, to me, almost identical.

I Am A Professional Photographer, And I Switched O
I am a professional photographer, and I switched over to digital some three years ago. I use Nikon digital SLR's for most of my work, but I use the trusty old Fuji Finepix S602 Pro for back up and candid shots at weddings etc. I have had this camera for three years, and it has been hammered by heavy usage, but it still delivers good quality images that I regularly have printed up to 10"x 8" and bigger, and on two occasions I have had 20"x 16" enlargements blown up from S602 files, and the results have been more than acceptable. OK so this has been with the help of a bit of interpolation with Photoshop, but never-the-less, very impressive for a camera of this level.
In conclusion, I would say that this is a great little camera, and far superior to the S7000 that superseded it. I have one of these as well, and in spite of it being 6MP as opposed to 3MP, I still prefer the S602 image quality.

I've Had The Fuji Finepix S602 For 19 Months And A
I've had the Fuji Finepix S602 for 19 months and am generally very pleased with its features. The optics are superb. However, it has been back to Fuji twice for repairs to the zoom mechanism. This seems to be a design fault as other forums report similar probs. The other down side: if you are downloading to computer and the batteries die, the storage card is fragmented and files can only be recovered using image recall software.
I would recommend that you always use a mains adapter whenever you are downloading to a computer. It saves any hassle.

The Fuji Finepix S602 Handles And Feels Like A Cla
The Fuji Finepix S602 handles and feels like a classic 35mm SLR.
An excellent all-round camera - there are several other Fuji models like it. If you like photography then this camera is for you. Manual, Aperture, Program or Shutter preferred settings, as well as Auto. Also Scene photography. Variable ISO speed up to 1600ASA. All the lighting and white balance settings, sports/multiframe/P-in-P/time delays/fixed focus and lots more. Being able to put on filters and add-on lenses gives even more scope - don't get too carried away though as vignetting can occur :(
Hot shoe flash gives you complete verstility and super-macro takes you down to 1cm.
I have taken some excellent pictures underwater - no, it's not waterproof, but with an EWA-Marine bag from 'Cameras Underwater', you get untold photographic opportunities in the water - diving or snorkelling.

The Fuji Finepix S602 Is A Super Little Camera Tha
The Fuji Finepix S602 is a super little camera that is capable of taking great shots in most situations. Focus is slow but OK in good light conditions, but fails to get a lock in low light, low contrast situations. Shutter lag is not instantanious but pretty quick, but the startup time is around 3 seconds.
Using the camera in it's optimal mode ie 3.1 meg fine and 160 iso the results are still up with some of the cameras of simular resolution today.
Writing RAW files is a waste of space and takes up to 50 seconds on a slow CF card!
Q&A
Is the S602 Fuji camera a CF 1?
