Nikon Coolpix 4600

I am not sure if the Nikon Coolpix 4600 digital camera is better than a Canon camera, because Nikon cameras, when compared with the Canon camera seemed to have less contrast in the colours of the objects on photos taken. However, they are superior compared with Canon in taking evening pictures such as sunset shots, because they naturally allow the shutter time to increase accordingly. The only bad thing though is that you need a pair of hands, or just one stable hand to make sure that the DC is stable when the shutter is opened.

My friend who uses a Canon camera simply cannot take beautiful night time pictures, and needs to rely on the flash.

Even in daytime, when the person has their back facing the sun, Canon cameras CANNOT take the persons face clearly, but need to rely on a flash, which ultimately results in the effect as if the person has been 'key-ed' onto the scene.

I have owned digital cameras in the past and found them difficult to use and complicated to transfer to my PC. The Nikon Coolpix 4600 is none of these: it is very easy to understand and takes good photos easily, also quite good on batteries compared to my previous cameras, would recommend to anyone, young or old, without hesitation!

The Nikon Coolpix 4600 digital camera rocks. It outperforms any other camera I have used to date. It can make the worst photographer's pics look like a studio took them. I love all of the features. It has 16 different scene modes alone including firework, panorama for 360 degree pics, snow and beach, and so much more. Many of these settings would cost a ton more on any other camera. It also has all of the cool shooting modes like ones for architecture, and even scenic views with an on screen pattern to line the shot up with. You can adjust just about every aspect of the camera you want. It also charges the flash quickly so you don't have to wait 30 seconds to shoot again. I would recommend this camera to anyone, especially for the $192 I paid for it at Ritz Camera!

ANYONE can use this camera, even my mom who is completely technology stupid. The bottom line is: Great price, great features, good pics, great brand.

For the $200 price-range, the Nikon Coolpix 4600 camera is a best buy! Loads of features on this style - multiple scene selection and advanced lighting for an entry camera.

What really dazzled me was the macro - quality of the 4600, don't expect to find this on other cameras around the same price!
