This Is One Of Few Cameras That Lives For Years An

This is one of few cameras that lives for years and still holds its own against new release. I've been using this for 6 years. Through the years, I've changed my DSLR's and other compacts but I still keep this one for backup or casual use.

In year 2011, comparing with other cameras, it lacks image stabilization, hd movie, high iso performance, and high resolution but it's still one of the better camera in terms of image quality.

When I first got my Canon 450D, I was shocked how DSLR's color is so much inferior to years-older compact's. Then I found out there's so called Olympus color. Well, now my favorite color is that made by Canon professional models. But still my 2nd choice is Olympus color.

With this camera, you just shot with jpeg and don't need to do post processing. It's that good. I remember reading a review from PC World online, giving C-5060 higher marks than several times more expensive Canon 350D for better color accuracy and overall image quality. They were so right.

I also keep legendary Fuji F31fd. But if you ask me, I treasure this more. With so many controls and some useful accessories like FL-20, it can go further. If you know how to control this beast, it will last yet couple of more years.

The Olypus C-5060wz A Cult Camera. I Picked This C

The Olypus C-5060WZ a cult camera. I picked this camera up on ebay, as I was looking for a wide-angle camera. It was the best decision I made.

When you see photos of the C-5060WZ, you could be forgiven for thinking that its an ugly camera, but don't let it fool you, once you have it in your hands, you will see it is a thingof beauty. Also, it is nicer then the SLRs because their lense sticks out. So it is bulkier. This is a bigger camera, but very manageable to carry around with you. You can also add lens and filters using an adaptor.

Olympus put a lot of love into this camera. They gave it a metal body. They gave it a swivel LCD, so that it can face you. They even they gave it a remote control. So that if you are in a corwded place, you can let the tourists pass and then click the remote when people are out of shot.

They even gave it a real optical viewfinder.

As for picture quality, they are very good. I love the colours on this Olympus. Even tough it is 5MB, it took better photos then my sister's expensive advanced Panasonic Lumix and even someone elses Sony compact.

Just like any new things, this Olympus takes a little while to learn, but you will find that the Olympus C-5060WZ, it a near perfect camera. I think aside from image stabilisation, there is not anything else I would ask for.

on eBay this camera has got every expensive!

I Have Had The Olympus C-5060 Digital Camera For A

I have had the Olympus C-5060 digital camera for about 18 months. All of a sudden the camera just freezes, you can't do anything! Now the lens starts going crazy, in and out, the menu comes up and stays there, I can't even get it to shut off! I take out the battery and then put it back. After leaving it out for a few days, it seems to adjust. I am very disappointed in this EXPENSIVE camera!!

I`m satisfied with this camera, it takes very good pictures, especially inside. Wide angle and macro are very good. It has some problems with focus in dark.

The Olympus C-5060 Is A Great Camera, And I Bought

The Olympus C-5060 is a great camera, and I bought it at an incredible price due to a typo on the Internet. I have taken it to Austria and taken lots of great photos.

Do Not Buy Olympus C-5060 Digital Camera! Oly

DO NOT BUY OLYMPUS C-5060 DIGITAL CAMERA!

Olympus has a problem with part# VC7997 on these cameras that causes menus to pop up on LCD without touching buttons and buttons stop working. Numerous people are complaining about this problem on the Internet - go to yahoo groups, Olympus_405080. Olympus needs to recall the camera. Mine worked fine for almost 3 months before the problem arose so don't think yours won't fail.

I have had my Olympus C5060 - worked great for the 1st year- 2 weeks out of warranty the mode dial problem showed up. I have been using it for underwater photos and got great shots - but this problem ruined an upcoming dive trip. Olympus wants about $180 to fix it - but they would not issue me an estimate of any repairs. I have been emailing and calling Olympus since last June (2005) and have again sent it in to be fixed (it is a defect seems to me) I'll pay.. use it till it gives out and never buy olympus again. I am sure other digital products have flaws/defects - but the customer service I have received has been minimal at best. I do like the pics it has taken though!

The Olympus C-5060 Is A Great Camera, But Mine Was

The Olympus C-5060 is a great camera, but mine was faulty on receipt from Pixmania. Problems with pixels on the LCD screen causing a dot in the middle of the display. I've returned my defective 5060 asking for a replacement. I have to wait a month whilst they test it before I get another camera. Beware of long delays in getting repairs or replacements.

In Esp Exposure Mode, The Pictures This Digital Ca

In ESP exposure mode, the pictures this digital camera returns are out of this world! I tried to use the Olympus C-5060's many other exposure settings (including spot metering), but still the ESP mode is almost 100% reliable in many extreme situations such as mixtures of dark shadow and high exposure. Also, I find the HQ resolution is perfectly adequate for even A4 size prints - I swear SHQ is of no noticeable improvement over HQ (so why use more space on your flash card?!).
