Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62

I found this review very helpful because...It agrees in total with my own experiences with this camera. I can add more: the screen seems to be bullet proof, probably because of the lip around the edge. Even sticky fingers seem to leave no marks....The quality of image is on a par with my Nikon DS70, and its compactness means I can slip it into my shirt pocket. The camera is incredibly easy to use, menus are readily understandable; for these reasons it has become my camera of choice for any occasion. The only gripe I have, and it isn't a serious one, is that cheaper aftermarket batteries will not work in the FS62. However, in view of the good battery capacity, don't worry about it!

i have Sony W 150 before, unfortunatly this kamera was broke by my sister...

then I buy a new One, panasonic FS-62... and suprise!!!

this cameras capabilities is higher than my camera before...

The Lumix DMC-FS62 RED is a small user friendly 10.1 mp camera with very good lens from leica 5.5-22 Aspherical DC Vario lens. In this class the lumix has a 2.5 inch 230.000 pixel resolution screen. It has inteligent auto so if some one else than the owner takes a picture you can press the AI button on top and the camera set evereything automatic so that you have a good picture. it is very small and light and still good to hold. is is powered by a lithum ion accu good for 370 photo's tha camera takes SD and the newer SDHC cards on 4 GB you can store 777 photo's in the best quailty jpeg. Panasonic has pleased me with above average product

This is the best camera we have ever owned,the picture quality is fantastic and it is very easy to use,i would never buy another make of camera again. there is nothing i didnt like about this camera,i would recommend this panasonic fs62 very highly.

Very nice little compact camera. Very easy to use and with useful selection of features. There are not that many manual options but selecting some of the preset scene modes will give you more options.

Image quality seems to be very good. The focusing is accurate and the colours good, if slightly cool. Indoors the flash does a decent job as long as the subject isn't too far away, small cameras tend to have small flash and this is no exception. Select ISO 400 flash off and you can get reasonable shots with not too much noise. Indoor/night quality is good for a compact.

Very easy to use and reliable camera. Little to annoy you. Good video quality. Build is good although you can tell this is FS and not FX as the lumix writing on the front is quite sharp and LCD has no glass cover to protect it. Lightweight so its comfortable to put in a pocket. Big enough to be able to use without camera shake. Mega OIS helps here.

For just over £100 this is an excellent purchase.

I purchased a Panasonic FS62 to use on holiday in Italy in the second half of September (not the hottest time). The screen suffered from condensation, so much so that 50% to 75% of the screen was blanked out, which obviously made it very difficult to compose a shot. On my return I contacted Panasonic, who replaced the LCD screen on the camera. The problem is still there - a fault in the design?

This is a shame, because apart from this major problem the camera is light, neat and takes good shots.

I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had the same problem, with this model or any other Panasonic camera.

I Love the look of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62 camera and the big screen. The image quality is great too because of the good quality lense. I would recomend it to anyone. it's a shame it doesn't have a case but it's easy to find one. I'ts also quite good in low light which is often difficult to find. It also has a 4x zoom which is really useful. most cameras in this price range only have a 3x zoom. Great camera"! :)

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS62 is Simple, well-designed, good image quality and good looking too. The quality of the build is also good - it certainly doesn't feel like it's going to break. What more could you want?

It doesn't have everything but at this price you don't expect that. I wanted a quick, snappy portable camera as I already have a DSLR that I don't carry everywhere because it's too bulky. This fits in a pocket very easily, turns on very quickly, and with it's Intelligent Auto (iA) mode it quickly works out what it should be doing for itself. Nice!

It has all of the features I need in a snappy camera - including a decent video mode. This is the 10M version of the FS6 (8M sensor). Looks very nice in red too.
