This is the first DVD player I have owned (just had it on a PC before). I was supprised by how easy it was to use. A multi-region hack is available (comes on a sheet with the manual and can be found on the net).
The only down side is the 80's case styling and the fact that I can't seem to be able to stretch wide screen images to my normal sized TV. Looks like I'll need to upgrade the TV now!

Amazing value for money. Plays more than my neighbours Sony unit (costing £300) and plays video/audio with amazing detail.
Don't buy a big name DVD player. This is the only unit you'll ever need.
Buy the unit from whsmith on the net and search for "Cyberhome 402". Alternatively pop into a local store. An no - I don't work for whsmith's (it's the only place I could find the DVD player on the net in less than 5 minutes).

Bought This To Be A Second Dvd Alongside A Philips
Bought this to be a second DVD alongside a Philips DVDR 880. Actually an impulse buy from WHSmiths. A good buy.. Compatible with Philips. Picture quality on play is excellent. Sound quality is good, though a bit hissy at higher volumes. A good buy.. especially at £79.00 !
