Nextbase SDV48 7" Portable DVD Player

I bought this unit to use in the car for my daughter, and paid over £100 at Halfords for the privilege.

The first thing I noticed was how easily the case was scratched, hardly practical when you are taking it in and out of the car all the time!

Then there was the battery life,it was good, at first, but after around 30 charges it would run for less than the length of an average movie,

Then, in the end, it stopped working after 18 months and will no longer read any DVD's, definitely one to avoid!

Our DVD player was purchased from Halfords, who I have to say were amazingly helpful and good at advising us which player to go for.

We were looking for a decent DVD player to keep our child happy, but I didn't want to spend too much money and this one fitted the bill.

I have to say I was surprised at how good the screen quality was and also how long the battery lasts out of the car.

The headrest mount provided does work well, once you realise that the velcro straps go through the player(this took me a while until I read the instructions!!)

Overall for value for money I would say this is probably one of the better players we looked at and it really has made long journeys a lot more bearable.
