I Was Looking For An Affordable Dvd Player To Repl
I was looking for an affordable DVD player to replace my VCR but did not want a make you have never heard of so when I saw a Denon DVD player for under £200 I jumped at the chance to buy it. The unit is very well built, although a little on the large side (but it does not bother me). The first thing you notice is the way the drive is ejected... none of this "spit the disc out" stuff, the drive comes out nice and smoothly - a sign of a good mechinism. Denon have not script when it comes to sound quality either, as the sound on both DVD and CD's is superb. Picture quality is good, nothing wrong with it, although I would suggest getting a good scart lead as it makes all the difference. The control is easy to use with buttons clearly labled. All in all, this is one of the best DVD players I have seen for so little money.

I Purchased My Denon Dvd 1000 Dvd Player For 180 P
I purchased my Denon DVD 1000 DVD player for 180 pounds, I believe it was 300 pounds when it first came out. The first thing that strikes you about this machine is the excellent build quality. The conservative black styling may not be to everyones taste, but I personally like it. I have my player connected via a high quality QED scart cable transmitting an S-Video signal. The player has the high quality component video out if your monitor accepts it. The lack of an RGB out may be a problem to some people, but the S-Video connection is great as far as I am concerned. The picture quality is very impressive for the price I paid, and the sound quality is top notch even with CD's. This is one of the few DVD players around that could double up as a CD player in a hi-fi separates system. The remote control has very small buttons that can be a bit of a pain, but this is not the end of the world. My player has also refused to play two disks (Proof Of Life and The Straight Story), these just freeze all the time. On inspection the discs (from a rental shop) have few or no scratches on them. I have watched numerous other discs with no problems whatsoever, so I do not see it as much of a problem unless it was doing it on a more frequently. This player also has no simple multi-region hack, which again does not really bother me. All in all a quality product at a very reasonable price.
