I Have Two Kids Who Are 3 And 5 Years Old. I Bough
I have two kids who are 3 and 5 years old. I bought this Nextbase Click9 Duo Screen for them when I was traveling in the United States. We drive around the city a lot and the player keeps them occupied. When I choose a player, the most important things I'm looking for are the screen quality and safety for my children.
This player is the tablet-style type: player and screen all in one-piece. It's pricier than other portable DVD players but the money is paid for the quality and most importantly, the safety.
I'd almost consider this model as a half-installed player for cars, only that the player can be easily removed. The stanchion mount is the major reason why I like this player. It's much more secured than those headrest mount which straps around the headrest. The player is safely locked and won't fly out from the mount when the car abruptly brakes.
I only give a 4-star for sound quality as I don't actually use the installed speakers. My children use the wireless headphones instead.
As for battery life, I'd also only give a 4-star. I only use the player in the car and I plug the player into the car cigarette lighter for power. I don't really need the battery but it will be nice if a rechargeable battery is included in the package. The battery costs extra and is sold separately.
