What A Piece Of Rubbish. It Wont Obey The Remote,
What a piece of rubbish. It wont obey the remote, and just does what it feels like. Been back to be repaired twice - never properly fixed. Contacted Philips, they wouldn't honour the warranty. No wonder their market share is close to zero. Will never ever buy another Philips product, but will tell anyone who will listen to avoid avoid avoid.
So, get on to the Office of Consumer Affairs. I've had to use both the Telecom Ombudsman and the Finance Ombudsman in the last 6 months, but the outcome is worth the effort when you beat the so-and-so's! Gotta do your homework though!

I Have Had This System For 3 Months Now, And Have
I have had this system for 3 months now, and have had the issues that others are talking about, but there not issues. All that needs to happen is the Surround button on the remote to be held down to change the Rear receiver ID Number.
Sound quality is Excelent for the size of the speakers, sound much larger than they actually are. I have another reference HD sound system have compaired it to which are large 1.2 meter tall piano speakers rated at 350watt each. and 12" Sub. The philips almost matches it in sound, though not as big in sound, the quality is far better, due to its incredible frequency range which i havent seen on any sound system before. Max Freq is 50,000 compaired to some of the best maxing out at 30,000hz. Picture quality is excelent, smooth and sharp. Ease of use is great, can adust pretty much everything about the system inlcuding volume and delay of each speaker. Output and input settings etc. I can not fault this system apart from it sometimes is slow to respond, or will sit on please wait for a bit before it becomes operational. But other than that its been a excellent system. Also supports MP3, Divx etc which is geart.

Same Issue As Other Reveiwers In That The Rear Wir
Same issue as other reveiwers in that the rear wireless speakers wouldn't come on when the system started up. Had to reboot woofer speaker and wait 20 minutes. In the end nothing would get them working. I sent it back for this fault and it was replaced. within weeks the same fault occured so I returned it for a refund. Shame there isn't an option to hardwire in the rear speakers or I would have kept it as the sound and picture are very good. Philipns needs to rethink this I feel

Philips Cineos Hts9800w Review - Quality Of Design
Philips Cineos HTS9800W review - Quality of design and construction is a big problem (system sent back for service twice during warranty period with lists of problems). When returning the system a third time for service (Philips had still failed to fix their annoying "feature" of the system turning itself off by itself), Philips would not honor their warranty even though the auto-turn off issue was reported and unresolved during the 1 year warranty period.

My Philips Cineos Hts9800w Are Connected To A Shar
My Philips Cineos HTS9800W are connected to a Sharp Aquos 52" lcd, with sky hd box , had to buy an optical output lead to get hd channels in dolby digital, well worth the money paid £600+ when they first came out.
