The sound from this system is amazing. They are so affordable now but long in the tooth so if you are buying on ebay etc. make sure that you listen to it and listen to every speaker close up.

My system just turned itself off this weekend after over 20 years of service, moving continents and numerous houses. I'm hoping it's just a fuse I found inside but if not, I would consider it one of the best purchases I have ever made, better than cinema quality sound in my own lounge.

I've used this home cinema for 5 years. For this DVD in a box, the performance is absolutely nice! Easy to install and just fits into your cot. Very good value for money.

DEFFO WORTH A PUNT..

Used this for about 5 year with no problems. Now the sound cuts out for no reason - turning off then on or firm tap on the top of the unit restores. The unit has been returned for repair, but not sucessful. Repairer reportrd "dry joints". Would I ever purchase another Sony product? - over priced - poor price / quality ratio - NEVER !!!!

Had it since almost 10 years and never had any problems with it.

this is by far the worst electrical product i have never bought. although i have persevered with it for years it has been nothing but trouble from day 1. i have had 3 draw opening issues,2 power button failures and countless episodes of tempremental behaviour. i was lucky enough to find a deal online so didnt pay £800 but still feel very angry at sony for not recognising this product was a white elephant. people have the right to expect more from SONY. they need to be aware that there are plenty of other options on the high street for far less money. i wont go near them again. you have been warned.
