Cello C20234F TV

We bought a Cello C20234F 20" TV and DVD player less than 2 years ago. It's been on the wall, in an all adult, retired household. It hasn't been dropped or even bumped. Now the remote control won't work. We've bought a new Cello remote, retested with no results and so it's the TV not the remote. Please don't waste your money unless you want to buy a new TV every two years. Incidentally, there are a lot of Cello remotes on sale on amazon and ebay, so this may be a common problem.
