Hitachi 42" Lcd Tv L42vk04u
This lcd tv which was purchased in November 2011 lost it sound appx 9 months later. I brought the set into store and gave the sad story about THE TV, and left it with them.
After being patient for nearly 3 weeks I got onto head office (complaints dept really) @*rgos, then got approval by phone to go and get a new one ( I must have passed its engineer exam/customer hasn't twiddled with it exam ).
Back at the shop counter I explained who I was, why I was there, offered my Stalag 3 Waffenfurger day passport papers explaining all, etc how "they" had looked and approved and with the salivating expectance of a brand new TV...I was told,
"we don't do replacements" by the obviously only girl there doing their fortnight work-placement from school.
At this point I got help from the manager, me pills were in me top left pocket and ,,,sorry only kidding,, he sorted it out nicely, I was to get a new one (same).. the tv arrived on to the counter, I said "why is there no box?", and then to my horror, there it was... the same telly I had returned, with the dust and unique markings I knew plus the serial number on the for repair sticker!
The manager again sorted it out, THE NEW TV arrived, and I took it home.
Sounds like the happy ending of a story?
Would have been if THE TV had'nt have had faulty sound on it. Sort of a tinny rumble at low volume settings.
THE TV is back at the shop, I've got a gift card - credited to the ammount I would have had to spend to buy a similar tv(it was on a very good offer when first bought) which was generous of *rgos.
Now, the tv was very effective before it went, 1080p freeview and a nice picture, had it connected to a *kybox and got full hd when available. The sound was never any good, but I beleive the modern flatscreens sounds arent that good anyway.
i have just bought this tv but want to link the sound from the tv to my hifi.where are the outputs on the tv
