Unforgettable Experience

Disneyland is an unforgettable experience for children and adults. It is very expensive so my wife and I have not gone for years but I recall back in the 60s and 70s when they had ticket books and the E-Bus was the best trip and most thrilling. You can buy one ticket today, and experience the whole park. You can also pick up the park jumper and see the California Adventure Park. Walt Disney had a vision that has gone on and positively affected so many lives. It's fantastic the rides, exhibits, parades, food, gift shops and workers who work in the park. Being my wife retired and hopefully visiting Disneyland or even Disney World in the future if economics encourages us to do so. We strongly recommend the park. Omg, it's a tiny land, carribean pirates, haunted house, Matterhorn, jungle coaster, tiki hut, and many more beautiful rides. What a wonderful time to be loved by a family or couple, and create memories.

Not Bad

There are fewer people than that of in other Disneyland. However, it is less fun. I don't think I would visit there again.

Queuing Queuing Queuing

The buffet restaurant Plazer Gardens offers reservations and non -reservation eating. We tried to reserve a slot in the afternoon for that evening but was told this was not possible. We queued up cattle class later on for about an hour and were finally allowed in to eat. I had expected there to be no space available but there were many tables empty.

A decent range of food was on offer and most was quite nice apart from the appalling UHT milk supplied for children to drink.

Staff were generally friendly (the lady in front of house seemed very stressed) and once inside and eating it was ok. I made the mistake of using the toilet however. There are only 2 cubicles available for women and one was shut so my daughter and I queued at the end of the meal for about 20 minutes at the end of evening.

Would I use this again? Probably not and next time I will head to LegoLand rather than EuroDisney for a half term break. This really put me off returning

Best Time Ever

There is nothing bad about this place, absolutely amazing, can not wait to go back with my grown up daughter.

The characters themselves made my trip, especially stich, what an amazing character, I could have watched him all day.

Fireworks was also amazing.

Keep up the good work, I had a very memorable trip.

Thank you.

Poor Value Magic Plus Pass And Nasty Staff

I have been travelling to Disney in Florida for years and loved it.This year, for the first time ever, I experienced nastiness in Paris from the staff at the entrance to the MGM park and at the food outlets. The staff did not treat us as customers but looked down on us an inconvenience to them. I feel so let down and will advise others to be cautious as you will not get the great Disney service that I have been accustomed to for years. I will not return or buy products for my family. Shame on the Paris park for such poor staff performance

Recent Trip To Disneyland Paris

Booked 5 day trip from Wed to Sun, staying at Santa Fe Hotel. Last stayed there with my children when it was just a hotel & having breakfast was a quiet affair. This time I went with my son & his family. Santa Fe is now a big complex & breakfast was certainly not relaxing. There was always a queue to go in unless you went in very early. The weekend was the worse & I would advise anyone to avoid the weekend if you can.

Luckily, we had booked a half board package which included breakfast which we were told we could have on the go. However, when we tried this out no one really knew about it in the participating cafes. We went to the information desk in the town hall where we were told that there was only one café that would take the voucher unless we wanted to pay more. So we ended up with just a tea, orange fruit juice & a pan de chocolate. So my advice is stick to the hotel at least that is a continental buffet. Although there was poor choice there if you were gluten & dairy free. Mainly biscuits & cakes, bread & crisp breads. No cereal.

In the evening we ate at some of the restaurants which had a buffet menu. The food was good & there was plenty to eat if you were dairy & gluten free. This was also good for the children & a soft drink was included. We booked in advance except for the last day where we ate at Annette's dinner which was included in our package. There was a set menu there. The starters were huge. Most of us struggled finishing our main meal. My only fault was that the wasn't much of a gap between the courses. So you didn't get chance to let each course digest. The dessert was a fudge cake, cheese cake or milk shake. The children had ice cream- all enjoyable.

Food in the park was expensive. The cheapest place to eat was MacDonalds in the village. Good prices there. Most of the merchandise in the park was expensive. Plenty of shops & plenty of people buying.

The rides were good. The children enjoyed Fantasy land, the characters & the parades. As an adult I enjoyed Star Tours, Terror Towers & Big Thunder Mountain. I also thought the nightly fireworks celebrating their 25th anniversary excellent. Most of the rides were good to excellent. Better than most theme parks here. I do think there should be a playground in the Studios. My grandson only like the Cars ride there so while some of the adults were on the faster rides there wasn't to amuse him & after going 4 times in a row on the Cars ride my head was spinning.

Dirty, Unfriendly, Disappointed, Not A Patch On Usa

Overpriced, disgusting food ( flight food standards) plus rude, ignorant staff! Could not believe the difference between Florida and eurodisney! They aren't a patch on the American experience! Really isn't a good representation of the 'disney' dream! Sort it out Disney! They are letting u down big time! 3yr old enjoyed it, but 10 and 11yr old (who have been to disneyLAND) could tell the difference! Not impressed at all. Had to make good for the sake of the kids but really... Totally disappointed. Save your pennies and for day-to-day value for money, go the extra miles and go to America where dreams really DO come true!

Post note... I do wonder why Disney allow this place to repress them... It really is a let down!

Dissappointing Disney Dream

We've just returned from Disneyland Paris, a long awaited dream for myself and my daughters aged 24 and 28, foolishly we also took thier children aged 2,6 and 8 years.

The hotel and staff were very polite and helpful and the park was kept very clean, the few characters we did see were really good with the kids.

Unfortunately there were more negatives than positives on this holiday, Eurodisney really doesnt cater for children under 10 years old and thats being generous, the queues are really long, theshortest being 45 minutes.

For some reason you cant book a meal plan for children under 3 evenif they have healthy appetites and are more than willingto pay the 3 -11year child rate, conseqently all my grandsons meals cost an extra 15/16 euros, and has been said on previous reviews healthy food was pretty much impossible to find, we ended up going to the station on several occasions to buy fruit juice and water and took fruit from the breakfast buffet to eat during the day.

The fireworks display was brilliant but didnt start till 11pm, again not aimed at younger children, so all in all very dissappointed, to me Disney means children unfortunately it doesnt to Disney

We specifically looked forward to seeing Beauty and the Beast, Doc McStuffins and Malificent, we didnt see any of them.

I dont expect Disney even care about the negative comments as for most people this is one off holiday thats been saved and planned for, I know it was for us.

Unfortunately Really Disappointing

Just returned (31/12/2014) from a 3 day/2 night holiday at Eurodisney, Paris with 2 girls aged 7 and 4. Perfect ages and massively into everything Disney.

The pluses:

The park is immaculate; the litter is picked up and nothing looks tired or old. Sleeping Beauty's castle is absolutely breathtaking and the fireworks display at 10pm is amazing. The staff in the restaurants, gates, rides and characters are polite and lovely with the children.

Right, the negatives (brace yourself):

Everything is overpriced. On entering the park, there are racks of dresses for sale for 70 euros and merchandise is everywhere. It sets the whole tone of what the park is about.

The food is really expensive and bloody awful - fish and chips was 17.99 euros, a hot dog was 7 euros, drinks started at 3 euros for a bottle of water. Nearly everywhere sells chips, doughnuts, pizzas, chips, waffles, chips etc. Take some fruit for your children as we never found anything healthy for the children to eat in the park.

The characters were nowhere to be seen. It was particularly cold when we were there and the queue for Merida was 3 hours long. She was coming out for 20 minutes at a time and then warming up for half an hour and then coming out again. Other than on the parade, we never ever saw Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa, Aurora, Minnie, Mickey....it is actually easier to say who we did see...Pluto and Jasmine. In three days. This was because my eldest daughter grabbed them both on their way out of the door. I don't know why they couldn't meet the children inside somewhere. All they want is to see them and have their photo taken with their favourite characters.

The parades were great but there are SO many people and it drove me crazy as loads of adults stood at the front which means small children have no chance of seeing the parade unless they are on their parent's shoulders (which has the knock-on effect of other kids then not being able to see).

We queued for everything. To get in, to get out, to have baggage checked, to eat, to go to the loo, to get a drink and of course, for the rides. For a basic ride for a few minutes where my 4 year old sat in a rocket and went around a few times, we queued for 50 minutes. There are no 'quick wins' for the rides - all of the queues were at least 40 minutes which is far too long with a little one.

There is some 'advantage' to guests that stay in one of the Disney hotels that you can get into the park before the rest of the people to take advantage of the rides. We did this and queued for Ratatouille, only to find there was technical problems.

The firework display is lovely but there is no way that a four year old can stay awake until 10pm after being in the park all day so the firework display is really only for the adults. Which is such a shame.

In summary, we have been and I will never go again. It is so expensive and 80% of the time spent there was in a queue for something. The park itself is lovely and I'm sure the kids will have a lovely memory or two but the queuing and the crowds just wear you down: too many people for too many facilities.

Park Is Great. The Visitors Are The Problem.

Went at the end of May 2014. The French staff were lovely and forgiving. My biggest complaint, besides the long wait for rides, is the other visitors. Brits and Aussies were bullying, loud and over all obnoxious. They would fist their hands and yell at the Disney staff in their unmistakable accents. They will even yell at you for returning at your fast pass time and not waiting in line with them. If you can find a time when they are not on vacation I would highly recommend visiting Disneyland, also the lines will probably be non-existent. I was very embarrassed to be a native english language speaker, because we do not behave like that in California. We didn't ride many rides because of the long lines, but we were content to sit on a bench and people watch. It is a different atmosphere than California Disneyland. Go to experience atmosphere, not the rides.
