Okay But Not Great
When I was a little kid about 7 or 8 years old my parents bought me a Gameboy. I was really happy at the time but the only thing was that I couldn't play allthe games I wanted too. I liked how durable this game system was because to be honest I silll have it today and it works perfectly finme it just has a few dents and a few scratchs. I think that this game systems battery could definetly use a little fixing up. I say this because the batttery life is not exactly the longest. I think that before I actually bought this game I would of wished that I was told that it had such a poor battery life. If I was told how bad the life of the battery was I am not sure if I would have even bought this device in the first place.

Gameboy Advance Sp Classic Nes Edition: I Owned A
Gameboy Advance SP Classic Nes Edition: I owned a standard GBA, and it had three flaws. It's size was larger than what I would have enjoyed, it was difficult to see the screen in many scenarios, and it had poor battery life. Because I already had an original, I didn't go out of my way to buy an SP, just because the GBA is still a great system. But then I saw a classic NES model. I had to have one. I got one for my birthday and I have been playing almost non stop. It's flip-folding design makes it very portable, and the built-in lithium battery also makes it better for travel. The backlight does do a number on the battery, but everything can be seen clearly when it's on. You can save the battery by turning off the light when you have good positioning, and when it's time for bed you can play it while lying on your pillow in the dark. On top of all the standard SP features, it's in a classic color scheme that no true gamer can ignore. I recommend this to others, but it was limited edition. Good luck finding one now.

If You Want A Gameboy With Style, Go For The Gameb
If you want a gameboy with style, go for the Gameboy Advance SP Classic Nes Edition. It is a classic and it looks great, it does the same as all of the other Gameboy SP's, except that it looks much better with the stripe going down the front of the console and the classic NES style buttons inside, it is a must for all of the retro lovers out there.

I Just Got A Nes Edition Gba Sp And I Love It. Gre
I just got a NES Edition GBA SP and I love it. Great handheld. If you want mobile gaming now (not in a year's time when the PSP and Gameboy DS come out) then this is the best option. Great games, good battery and solid hardware. I am very happy :)
Now to other matters, if you did some research on the internet you would find out that adding a headphone jack to the unit would mean they needed to make a smaller main board for the GBA SP. Doing this would put the production of the board up. This would add to the total price of EACH GBA! Nintendo made a judgment call in that a small percentage of users use headphones with the GBA. So this kept the overall price of the GBA down (great for everyone!). Now before you say "but I had to buy an adapter for $5" let me tell you that if they had included a headphone jack by default you would have had to pay the extra $5 (or maybe even more!) in the price of the actual GBA! By not adding it by default they kept the overall price of the unit down. If you want to use headphones, just buy the adapter it is only $5 and like I said you would be paying it as a hidden charge anyway if it was built in.
The same goes for the poor audio quality from the GBAs speaker. Do you really want a high quality speaker for a little portable games console? It isn't like a speaker that is capable of doing CD quality audio would be a great addition to this unit would it? I would rather a little lower audio quality and the GBA cost $10 or so less!
IMO, the overall quality of the GBA is outstanding for the price. People say it isn't much (if at all) better than the GameGear. I thought the same until I played my GameGear next to my GBA SP. My mind was playing tricks on me and thinking the GameGear was better than it was. I played Sonic on the GG and it is so slow compared to the GBA, not to mention the very low number of colours!
The GBA SP is much more powerful than the GG.
