Official PS2 Memory Card

This memory card can be picked up for £4 online. I got mine with the console. First of all, even though 8MB may not sound like much, by PS2 standards that's a good few game saves! I've never come close to filling it up and hopefully never will. Design wise, this memory card is nothing special, it's not the most attractive yet it does the job and you'd bearly notice it anyway. As for reliability I'd say it's very reliable and lasts a long time.I've not had any problems in 3+ years! Overall I'd definitely recommend this memory card and would say it's a must have for any PS2.

Only 8mb need to be higher like 16 or 64 mb, poor price £20 for a 8mb memory card I'd not save my game at all than pay that. I'd say that the company need to think about the price of this ps2 memory card. I mean come on £20 for 8mb... No good points as stated above therefore I do not recommend this ps2 accessory.

The Official PS2 Memory Card saves quickly but is only 8 MB. Overall it is good.

I paid AU$80 around 30 pounds. Which is way to expensive. It holds a lot of things for 8mb which is good.

Its pretty compact.

Looks good with either black or silver PS2.

The only bad thing is that this memory card is just way too expensive.

The value for money is poor, but it can hold a lot of games on it. Easy to handle and use. The standard memory card for the PS2 is well worth it if you want to save your games, which everybody normally would.

I personally think that paying £20 for just 8Mb of memory is poor. If you have about 6 games on the go at once, the card soon becomes full and there is nothing more annoying than not being able to save your progress on a game. I think that the option of buying a cheaper brand with more memory for something that does exactly the same job is the way to go.

Overall, it is overpriced for the standard of the product.

I admit I begrudge paying £20 for a PS2 Memory card, when I can get a generic one that works just as well for almost half the price. I think PlayStation really do need to rethink their pricing structure, especially as these are supposed to be aimed at the youth market.
