It's a decent enough darts game, and is very easy to master the controls; graphics are ok I would say, but nowhere near of what the Xbox 360 is capable of.
The bulk of the game is the main career mode, where you enter the full PDC calendar of tournaments, in a bid to climb up the PDC rankings and gain the Number 1 seeding.
The problem with the game is this, and this is especially for people who want the achievements, the tournaments need to be completed in ONE sitting to gain the achievements for winning them, you can save thou out the tournaments but you will not gain the achievement, as I found to my cost when I won the PDC UK Open (saved because I needed to go out and had other things to do with the day believe it or not lol) and did not gain the achievement, I subsequently played 3 other tournaments without saving and gained the achievements for winning them, but it takes an age, the PDC World Championship for example took me 3/4 hours to complete, while others like the U.S open will take about 90 minutes.
Its ridiculous, to expect a player to go though an entire tournament in one sitting, and this really distracts from what really is a decent darts game
Pros
. Easy to master
. Features 16 of the Worlds top PDC Players
. Some of the achievements are good challenges like the 9 dart finish
. For a dart game it plays really well.
. The career mode despite the silly tournament ruling mentioned above is actually a good mode.
Cons
. Sid Waddell gets annoying and repetitive on commentary, real quick
. The game is arguably a bit too easy, i.e. I won the entire World Championship without losing a set for example.
. The ridiculous "having do the tournament" in one sitting to gain the achievement rule", the tournaments can range from 90 minutes to 3/4 hours in length, and that's only if you don't drop legs and sets.
In Closing, this a decent enough game for the darts fan, but if you are planning to gain all the achievements, win all the tournaments in career mode etc, put many days aside for this one, cancel the shopping, cancel going out or indeed doing anything at all, because you will need literally days of your time to complete this game.
