La Quinta Restaurant & Capones Nightclub, Benfleet, Essex

I was there a few months ago for the greece night. The food and staff were great!! Greece started late but it was ok for us but we did see afew other people having to leave as taxi were booked etc. The only thing i would have to say is it was cold and the toilets were freezing!! staff did say they had turned up the heating but it took a long time and I had to borrow a top from a friend. But I would go again, I'd just wear long johns........

I was thier for the first time last night the place was lovely music good Abba Girls great YES even the toilets are a must see very clean and well designd.

Staff very helpfull and friendly food was nice but prawn cocktail had no tast and prawns watery could be that they are frozen.

The chicken tasted lovely but had bone through it so not much chicken to eat, desert very nice.

Overall I would definatly go again. drinks I thought were reasonable Biccadi and coke jack daniels and coke just over £7 not bad for a place like that I pay that in my local and thats London.

Have been there a few times now, first time was a hen night but since with friends for girlie nights. Always had a great night out but the only fault is that my feet hurt from dancing too much. Food has always been good and the entertainment is fun. We are trying to work our way through the different events.

Having heard a lot about this place we eventually visited tyhere with a group of friend.i must say that we had attempted to book on three previous dates but were unable to due to it being fully booked.This i found to be a little anoying as we had already made arrangements for baby sitters etc.But if its full its full.

Most cabaret venus that we have frequented in the past have not been that busy and the food terrible so we were a little hesitant in out expectations.

We arrived slightly early for our table and were greeted in a friendly and professional manner and attended quickly and professionally by some well trained bar staff.

So here we go the evening was off and nothing to moan about as yet.

This palce gives you the impression from the staff that they love working there and this showed through in how we were looked after all night.The venue was packed but we were made to feel special all the time.the wine glasses were topped up regularlt without really seeing anyone doing it.Everyone there entered into the spirit of the evening and the food and service were very good.

To conclude we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience as it apeared everyone did.

The place seems to be the venue to go to and now I can see why it took so long for us to be able to get in on a night that suited myself my wife and our friends.

Ther did seem to be a few people who were not eating trying to get in later which was dealt with curtiously but firmly by some discreet security personell which was refreshing to see.

Upon leaving we tried to make a reservation for a friday or saturday on numerous dates this year but were told that all fridays we wanted and saturdays baby sitters permitting were full.

Welll we have now managed to book for a friday in January 2010..

Its a busy vibrant place which is why its so busy.

having read the reviews about La Quinta Restaurant & Capones Nightclub we opted for a girls nite out. The place was extreemly busy. i mean extreemly!!!!!

We were greated at the door by a very smart young lady and taken to the bar for a pre dinner drink. Remembering that there was 26 of us in the party and thinking it would take a long time to get us all served was a worry as out dining time was only 15 mins after our arrival(which was late as the 4 taxis taking us there were not on time).

I must say that the bar staff were not only attentive which included pooring our wine held in an ice bucket on the bar and topping us up as required but very fast aswell.

Some of my friends in the party are experienced dinners from working in London and other major cities and all of the comments were very positive.The food and service was great and then we danced with the cabaret and all till about 1am..

We without exception had a great time and we are attempting to hold a regular girls night out there once a month..

we visited la quinta restaurant and nightclub about 6 months ago after living in the local area for quite a long time.We had one of the best night out ever.It is very busy and livley so would not reccommend it for a cosy night out on a friday with the other half.

Food is good and the staff make it as they are really friendly and up for a giggle aswell.Cabaret was great and the dj had everyone partying till about 1am..

Girly night out at La Quinta Restaurant & Capones Nightclub and it was very lively and nice food...oh boy you need to see the loos as well.

Just booked back in for 60 on a works party at xmas..glad rags on and lets party.

So an evening out in Capone's/La Quinta in Southend doesn't sound that bad,,,,,until you have to live it.

Got there on time to find that I am going to be spending the evening in a converted car dealership. Parking straight away was a problem. Having to park in side roads is not my idea of a well laid out plan, or thoughtful management.

Drink prices were higher than expected from any club, including London prices. I would not have expected to have paid £8.30 for a single vodka & coke, and a drivers coke. Several of the party had mentioned that the coke tastes of nothing but soda water. I am unable to dismiss this as I thought it to be a true statement.

When we were seated, it was left to a member of our party to find our table & seat us all. If the management are expecting to show a quality of service this is most defiantly an area to be looked at.

The meal was 3 courses. All as bad as the next.

I had the Turin for starter, or it might have been cat food? Turin is meant to be cut with the side of a fork, not hacked at with a knife.

Second course was Lamb shank, boiled to death just to remove the taste. The vegetables were also boiled for many hours, I have teeth, I can chew my food.

To cap it all the last course was Lemon tart, freshly made from a packet. This was quite awful, If it wasn't for the fact that that it was a friend birthday I would have showed my disgust.

The floor staff where helpful, with exception of the guy behind the bar.

The evening's entertainment is suppose to be a 'Dirty Dancing' theme. I will not comment on this, as I had to keep removing myself from the room in disgust.

Quite possibly the worst evening I have spent in this area.

If you want a reasonably priced night out in Benfleet, hire a DVD & stay at home. The food is better, the drinks are what you paid for, and the feel of the place is good.
