La Vista, Great Baddow

I like to break fixed routines. I like to try out new restaurants. I had the most amazing time at La Vista, Great Baddow. They offer the most delectable variety of food and drinks. The service is also satisfactory.

Had a delicious meal midweek with my daughter and nothing could be faulted!

Service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Will most certainly be going there again and would recommend to all that I know.

Two week's before Christmas the bar and the restaurant at La Vista in Great Baddow was totally empty. What should have that told us? People of Great Baddow do not go here. Starter was actualy very good but the main course of Lobster rissotto, which we had both ordered was sadly lacking in lobster! Three orange pieces and no white meat. A very poor show for a chef trained in London and when this was brought to his attention he (Antonio Viscariello) was on the attack from the outset and not at all professional! We asked for cheese and biscuits in place of a dessert, but wasn't able to have this as it wasn't on the set menu....

After much argument, we were offered a paltry £7.53 off of a total food bill of £43.00!!! And only on further discussion was this amended to a discount of £13.76, because one of us had eaten all of the risotto, as we were hungry.

Both of us are local people and will never recommend anybody waste their hard earned cash on this establishment!

No atmostphere, no value for money and poor customer service thrown in!

You'd have a better dining experience at one of the multi-national chains.

My girlfirend and I went there last week and really couldn't fault it. Very classy place with excellent food, although a bit pricey to make it an every-week occasion. It has a good value takeaway takeaway though which serves food just as good as the restaurant.

We visited this restaurant last week for the first time... we were unimpressed.

The staff were more interested in flirting with each other than anything else. The food was nasty. We visited at 7.30 PM on a friday night and the place was dead. There was one other couple eating who ordered a torn chicken pizza - which arrived with no chicken! When the man complained the waitress disappreared to speak to the chef. Then followed the ping of a microwave and seconds later the waitress reappareaed with a small plate of chicken. This is probably the worst restaurant I have visited in Chelmsford. I wont be returning.

Soon as we walked through the door at la vista we were greeted and shown a seat in the bar area were we waited for the rest of out party to arrive. The service in the bar was exellent drinks order taken promptly and recieved them also promt even though was a saturday night, The food was so superb, i could not wait for dessert, i chose the assortment which had a selection of there menu on. it was amazing especially the truffle tort. we did not feel rushed at any point of the evening and left at 1 am. GREAT FOOD GREAT SERVICE, HIGHLY RECOMMEND

La Vista is Amazing! Staff were lovely, food was delicious and well presented, atmosphere was great too.

La Vista, Great Baddow is Clean looking and modern.

Really nice setting. However, albeit we do not mind paying that little bit "extra",we thought the final bill was very expensive, considering we didn't have a bottle of wine, just one alcoholic drink each. It came to nearly £90. The portion size was very small in our opinion, even small for me! My husband came out of the restaurant stating that he could now go for some fish and chips!

This restaurant which our group have been to twice now has gone down in our estimation.

We will not be going next year.

La Vista tried its utmost to do as least as possible to make our Christmas meal enjoyable.
