What's Happened To Loch Fyne Chelmsford????
What has happened to Loch Fyne Chelmsford?? Food was as bad as I've eaten out anywhere...had hadock and mash for my main, first five mouthfull's or so were greeted with bones...the mash was like soup and the sauce drowned the whole dish...appears to be a case of a good restaurant now living off their early reputation and forgetting to keep to the standards they originally had...bearing in mind the waiter agreed with my complaint and told me someone from the previous night also had the same problem, it surprises me how they get any return custom.
As for 'the manager'..just think receptionist on Alan Partridge...anything I said was probably forgotten 5 mins later as she was too interested busying around tables with a fake smile rather than having time to listen to a genuine customer complaint
..good luck if you decide to dine there, you'll need it

Hi, We Went To Loch Fyne Restaurant In June 2007 A
Hi, We went to loch fyne restaurant in June 2007 as a group of 8 at lunchtime and although the food was good the service was appauling.
A couple of people had the seafood platters, but and so didnt have starters as they were so large. About an hour later no mains had arrived and we asked and were told that they thought the seafood platters were starters and so were waiting until people had finished those. ( three tier £40 seafood platters)
The resturant was fairly newly opened then but this was a lunchtime and it wasnt that busy and the sevice was not attentive and not by anyone it seemed that had ever worked in a resturant before.
So food good but service appauling and from later reviews it still looks like it could be that way ...

Well, Been A Few Times To The Loch Fyne Chelmsford
Well, been a few times to the Loch Fyne Chelmsford branch as I live nearby.
They had a good deal 10 months ago, 2 courses plus glass of wine for £12.
The food first time round was good, but since then every visit back to the place has gone down in opinion, to the point where we won't be going again. The quality of food is overrated, having eaten seafood from different parts of the world, personlly this is of average standard.
The service is hit and miss, sometimes they can be friendly and welcoming but next time they are way above themselves, which for me is the worst type of service. I can't stand being looked down upon by someone serving you, it's so rude and not customer focused.
so 2/5 and overrated plus pricey for quality of food.

My Only Suggestions For The Loch Fyne Restaurant A
My only suggestions for the Loch Fyne Restaurant are perhaps with the price tag should come the benefits of trained staff who pull chairs out and do not just plonk food on the table. Having said that it should all be about the food and that is first class.

Very Disappointed With This Restaurant And The Cus
Very disappointed with this restaurant and the customer service offered by the company, i visited the restaurant on the 5th July 2008, my 9 year old daughter wanted the king prawns in garlic, the waitress was aware this dish was for a 9 year old, when the dish was served it was just FIVE king prawns (hardly a main meal) with the full shell and heads on, i gave my meal to my daughter and at the end of the meal the waitress asked if we enjoyed our meal? When i told her about the prawns not being suitable for a child and the way they were served should have been mentioned as she was aware it was for a child she said she would speak to a manager. I was watching the conversation and the complaint was apparently dismissed. I had already paid but just wanted the opportunity to address this issue with a manager. I emailed Loch Fyne restaurant regarding this and to this date i have had no response. I dined at this restaurant the week before when they were not as busy and the food and service was ok.My opinion is that if this attitude continues I do not see them maintaining a good reputation.

When Booking For A Party Of People To Eat You Have
When booking for a party of people to eat you have to submit the menu first. I felt main meals were not as good as when i have eaten there as a couple.

I'll definitely be visiting the Loch Fyne restaurant in Chelmsford again, as soon as they sort out the waiting staff situation, so I can enjoy the wonderful food in a much more refined and friendly environment.
