The Henny Swan, Sudbury

I had high hopes of this pub, being voted pub of year, but thought food was ordinary and nothing special, although price was expensive - about £60 for 2. Would not recommend.

The Henny Swan is a lovely restaurant based on the outskirts of Sudbury in a beautiful countryside village of Great Henny. Living in Colchester the journey took approximately 15 minutes traveling along the B1508. The restaurant provided suitable parking space for families. I went with my family around Christmas time, in which we had a 3 course meal. The bar staff and waitresses provided an exceptional service and were always polite and friendly.

The meal was very good value for money in which I was overly impressed by the desserts. The effort in decoration and presentation over amazed me, whilst being exceptionally tasty.

I can't wait until the summer where I can enjoy a nice relaxing pint and snack in the beer garden which over-looks the River Stour. You can view their menu and wine list on their web site.
