This Restaurant Is Not Very Child Friendly. My Par

This restaurant is not very child friendly. My partner and myself took our 14th month old boy to Aroma, we were greeted by an unhappy looking lady and when requesting a table upon entry. We were told we would have to pay £3.50 for our baby (teething and he can barely chew food at the moment) I explained he would not be eating however they insisted if they 'CAUGHT' him eating they would put it on the bill.

So we didnt get off to a good start, we were then sat next to / squashed between two other families (we may aswell all have sat on the same table, despite it not being very busy in the restaurant)

The only good thing I have to say about this place is the food is pretty good. Unfortunately the canteen feel to it / small tables & chairs / being sat with other people / unhappy looking staff watching over you constantly and the queues for food made me give this place a poor rating.

I Went To Aroma With A Friend And At First It Look

I went to Aroma with a friend and at first it looked like quite a good place. I'd been told by another friend that it's good food, decent price and good service. WRONG. Lets start with the atmosphere. With uncomfortable seats and dirty tables and floors, It wasn't a good first impression. Nevermind, I thought, lets go to the food. Well, It's either deep fried in grease, covered in salt or undercooked. I asked the chef for a prawn stir fry, he looked at me blankly and had a stern look in his face like I just swore at him. After simplifying it many times, he gave me prawns that were still wet and GRAY! As you would expect, the pudding varies from tinned fruit to deep fried pineapples, not exactly what I fancied. So poor service, it's not exactly good quality food (There have been several cases of food poisoning in the past) and VERY expensive for what you get (£15 a head for bad food) . I do not recommend it to anyone, and I'm surprised it's still open.

Not A Fan Of Aroma, As The Canteen Atmosphere On A

Not a fan of aroma, as the canteen atmosphere on a friday night makes for anything but an enjoyable relaxing meal. The chinese food they offer is also very westernised, seems heavy with msg and other flavourings and generally made with poor quality meat. The range was pretty good, but the desserts are very poor - mainly tinned fruit and watery ice cream (that when you can get near the scoop - two kids were playing with them last time for five minutes, using them as a toy). Unless you eat by the truckload and are unassuming in your choice of asian food, best to avoid this place.

Aroma Restaurant Is A Large Buffet Style Chinese R

Aroma Restaurant is a large Buffet style Chinese restaurant. Loud, bright and cheap.

The general quality of the food is pretty low, it has to be said. This is particularly true of any of the main dishes, which often feature some watery sauces and can have you chewing on a lump of grissle for hours.

The crispy aromatic duck is only available in the evenings and not one part if it, not even the cucumber is 'crispy'. It is not of the same standard as any other Chinese restaurant.

There are one or two nice things available though, if you can find them. The starters are adequate, the satay chicken and seaweed are good. The tepanyaki is awesome. If you're going to eat one thing and nothing else then make sure it's this. I particularly like the pork and rice noodles, with plenty of chilli paste!

You pay one price to enter and eat. There are different rates for lunch and evening and days of the week.

Friday and saturday nights are 13/14 quid, which is about a quid cheaper than Regent Cottage in Hitchin (very high quality eat as much as you can) - so there is no point in going here in the slightest them nights.

However, at luchtimes for six or seven quid you can eat Chinese till you explode, and you can't complain about that can you?

I Was Pleasantly Surprised By The Aroma Restaurant

I was pleasantly surprised by the Aroma restaurant in Stevenage, Hertfordshire - a 3 course pig out meal with drinks for £15.00 a head! How can anyone complain? The staff were all nice and helpful. An earlier reviewer missed the point - the waiters remove your plates as soon as they are empty, so when you go to the buffet again you can't drop your unfinished sauce all over the nice clean food!

On a Saturday evening, around 6:30, they found a table for 8 immediately, even though the place was packed. We were given a rough time limit of 1 1/2 hours, which was more than enough to go over the top... The place was full of families with kids, who all seemed to be enjoying themselves. We all overdid it a bit, and ate until we were stuffed - 2 lots of starters, 2 (or in some cases 3) plates of main course, and at least 2 deserts each. 2 of our party had to go and stand outside for 5 minutes to let the food settle! There were no glaring waiters, they didn't even bat an eyelid when we ordered jugs of tap water for our second drinks.

I would definitely take the family there for a different eating experience, but it was just as good for our stag party before heading off to the pubs!

My Youngest Son Who Is 3 Brought His Slush Puppy (

My youngest son who is 3 brought his slush puppy (nearly empty I may add) from outside into the Aroma Restaurant in Stevenage. The waiter who came to our table frowned and said 'no drinks'! Surprised with his demeanour I strongly protested to him and to a lady cashier who tried to lecture me on matters of restaurant policy and profits. An argument ensued - my wife and I decide not eat but finish our soft drinks and allow our children to finish their food and drink.

Additional Information:

We have also visted the one in Wood Green on several occasions(better service!).

Aroma Restaurant - A Nice Pay And Eat As Much As Y

Aroma Restaurant - A nice pay and eat as much as you can restaurant. The price (last time I went) was around £13 for as much as you like. The drinks however come at a price.

The selection of food is great. You can also take up raw ingredients and get the chef to cook them for you.

The only issue I had was that they were playing music which I deemed a bit too loud for a restaurant.
