Worst Restaurant I've Ever Been To
How I wish I'd read these reviews before my wife and I went to Cheikhos... We arrived at the restaurant a whopping 5 mins early only to be greeted by the owner who told us we were too early! This annoyed my wife, but I was prepared to give Cheikhos a chance. After being seated I noticed how grubby and shabby the place was - dirt on the walls and filthy napkins. Just as we were about to order we mentioned to the owner that we had a voucher - things went downhill from here. The owner went off on one about how we should've mentioned this when we booked and that he couldn't accept too many voucher bookings as he was very busy. This was total tosh - the restaurant was dead, apart from one other couple, and the voucher we had mentioned no t&cs. At this point I'd had enough and decided to leave - not before having a row with the owner about his lack of customer service and rudeness. In the past I'd heard good reviews about the restaurant - perhaps they've fallen on hard times and think they can scrape by with minimal effort. I wouldn't be surprised if they go bust. Please do not go to this disgraceful excuse of a restaurant! Shame on you!

Disappointed
We were the first to arrive, so service started quick but as others arrive, we seemed to be ignored. The starter were ok, a spicy tomato soup with 2 small trianges of pitta bread but was very disappointed with the main course. I chose the seafood special, and only got about 15 mussels and 2 king prawns, that was it. I was left starving. It took 10 mins to get the waiters attention as he was busy serving 8 other tables. We were not even offered a dessert, so we asked for coffee. We eventually got the coffee but it was weak and the baileys liquer was watered down. What a let down. What we ate was nice but too over priced. Never again.

Excellent
We arrived to an abseoulutely wonderful atmosphere greeted by wonderful staff.
We were shown to our table and engaged in a luxurious starter followed by one of the nicest main courses we'd ever had!
The deserts were fantastic and gorgeous. The food was so wonderfuly presented we didn't want to spoil it!
When we left we all vowed to come back again and recommended it to everyone we knew!
What a night!

We Were Advised That The Advertised Cheikho's Set
We were advised that the advertised Cheikho's set menu (2 course £13.95 or 3 course £16.95) did not apply to a group of 3 guests after we has arrived and sat down. This was not mentioned on the internet or the Cheikho's display board outside the window.
We happily chose from the Cheikho's menu and specials that the waiter read out.
Our starters arrived quickly buy the style of plates made it very difficult to eat your meal from as they kept tipping over! My two friends had chosen the Seabass from the specials, which was over cooked and dry.
The desserts (lemon cake and tiramisu) were a little tastless.
The bill came to £68.00. The worst part was being ill the moment i got home!
