The Point Bar & Grill Lisburn

love the place to have someting to eat in and drink in the bar occasionally, always good atmosphere downstairs. Was very disappointed recently with a private function that was held upstairs. good deal for room hire and dj services BUT the music and dj (Colin was his name..my brother made further enquiries) were bad and the whole evening seem to drag in with his choice of music. Occoasionally he spoke via mike but no party disco banter with him at all. Few requests we asked for were acknowledged but loads werent and folk within the party were disgruntled. Phil Collins isnt everyones cuppa and he seem to play music to suit himself and he didnt take heed to type of music we were asking for. Obviously then the dance floor was never busy and even bar staff were standing around looking bored! cant blame some guests for going home early. In futre if we use for private party we will bring our own dj (which we learnt few days later we could have done) we know now to avoid this guy Colin/defo not recommend him!! suppose to be working but why he kept leaving the stage and disappearing for ages too,my mother timed him at one point till 12 minutes and then had to nab him when she did want him to stop music to make announcement!

I regularly go to the point with my partner usually for lunch, we have eaten in the bar and also the upstairs restaurant. Food is always spot on and staff are always extremely friendly.

Stopped into The Point last week for a quick evening meal before going to the cinema with my better half. First and last time. The menu was overpriced compared to other similar places around Lisburn. What we did order took ages to come out and when it did, let's just say it wasn't worth the wait.

The staff were OK, although there was no such thing as an apology for everything taking so long.

Won't be back.

I recently visited The Point Bar & Grill Lisburn on hearing there was a new head chef there and the food was fabulous. I wasnt disappointed, there was 4 of us and the quality and presentation was outstanding. We all shall definitely return for the food and the service.

I regulary vist the Point Bar & Grill especially on a Sunday for there carvery is first class. The food is excellent and good value for money. The added extra of the setting by the lagan is good.
