Post, Banstead

Had a night out at The Post last night. Have been a few times before and always sat downstairs. Last night they were fully booked and had to turn "walk ins" away. I'd booked a table for 16 people which meant we had to be seated upstairs which is an ok space but not as good as the downstairs. The food, as always was excellent. The service was v good. One of our waitresses dropped a bottle of Coke down the back of my new suit .. not really a problem, but she was devastated. The Manageress said all the right things and, naturally offered to pay for the dry clean. 

We all had a great time - thoroughly recommended .. reasonably priced. Don't forget to book if you decide to go. ♡

According to their website the Post in Banstead ceased trading 5th April 2011 due to the economic climate. At least they're not blaming this site! Small blessings...

Perfect - Excellent food - Superb service was the comment from 45 guests from as far as Norfolk, Cornwall, Wales and Spain at a celebration lunch.

I have just celebrated my son 18th Birthday party for 20 guests in the Post. Lucas and his staff couldn't do enough to make the event special and the service was great.The room upstairs is superb the mirrors gives it a special feel. The leather swivel chairs comfortable and a little bit special. We were able to put a menu together, welcome drinks and wine on the table for £30 a head. Its Party shop in Cheam Village came on the day to decorated the room with an selection of balloons table decorations ans a personalised banner. We had the bar downstairs exclusively to ourselves where the quests enjoyed a welcome drink and they could mingle. This is an outstanding venue for any event.All 20 guests were very happy and surprised how nice he venue is. They wouldn't hesitate to come back

The Post makes the best Gin and Tonic for miles so if you just want a drink go to the bar and treat yourself.

I have eaten in the post now for over 2yrs and have yet to be disappointed by either the food or the service. Top marks for the innovations luca has brought to the Resturant.

I took a party of ten to try the new Sunday menu and at £16.50 a head was sceptical that the Resturant could live up to it's general high standard. But they achieved this with ease we had a great lunch and will happily return

ABsoulutely the worst place I have ever eaten in. Full of pretention with no substance. I once ate in the coffee shop with colleagues and we were clear that we were on a lunch break and only had one hour. The surly waiter said that would be fine but despite several polite reminders the food came after 1 hour 10 minutes. We were the ONLY table in the coffee shop and I could see through the the bistro and there were no diners so NO excuse! As we left we asked to pay separately and paid and just as we were leaving were called back and asked for cash as he had forgotten to charge for a coffee (so he said) but interestingly till receipt was missing! I gave it another chance and had take away jacket potato and beans and NO LIE was given half a jacket potato , no crisp skin, microwaved, with approx a tablespoon af beans and can you believe ONE processed cheese slice! V expensive avoid avoid avoid!

Excellent Sunday lunch. Good menu selection in addition to traditional roast. Good service.

Ate here for the first time for my 30th birthday and was reccommend by a friend to have our party here, service was great and the food matched up to it too. Shame we don't live closer as we would make it a regular haunt.

One of the best places I have ever been, brilliant food brilliant service. Having been to the Post quite a few times now I can't understand some of the reviews. I have been to some of the top restaurants in the country and the world and I have to say this is truly a delight to have this on my doorstep.

Its never disappointed from a business lunch to a romantic meal with the girl friend.

All of the friends I have recommended to the post have come back with brilliant things to say.

Do yourself a favor and get up the Post and sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and BRILLAINT first class food.

had been wary of visiting post because of mixed reviews but thank god i gave it a go!!! FOOD EXCELLANT service pleasant and attentive without being to in your face. to be greeted bywarm smiling faces was a joy. my wife and i are now regular visitors to the post and we have no hesitation in recommending the post to others. keep up the good work!!!
