272 Restaurant, Newick, nr Uckfield

I dislike the price and no chicken dish or grilled steak. In my opinion far too expensive hence the lack of diners. Also on some of the websites 272 Restaurants offer set evening menu from Tuesday to Friday.

Excellent menu variation, presentation very good and reasonable time scale from order to table. The overall service was average, whilst the overal dining experience was good. Car parking is cramped.

Having made a fairly positive review of 272 Restaurant I personally will never set foot in the place again. The reason for this is that the glass of house Sauvignon Blanc I had before the meal was pretty dire, as agreed by all my co diners when they tasted it. The front of house also tasted the wine and said 'I agree it does not have the normal Sauvignon flavours you would expect'. In a well run place the immediate offer would be to replace the glass with another house wine or not to charge for it. Neither of these happened and there are plenty of equally good restaurants around who will look after me as a customer the way I expect them to.
