No 5 Gaolmews Restaurant, Stafford

No 5 restaurant is a lovely place to go. Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our meal. The staff are polite and friendly and cannot do enough to help you. The food is amazing and i would recommend eating here to anyone.

i love no 5 , the food is out of this world, im hoping to have our wedding meal here, no5 staff are lovely ppl, im gutted to see ppl slate no5 i totally disagree, we love no5. emm xxxxxxxxxxxxx

i ahve not been here for a few years and cannot believe it is run by the same people who ran it 3 or 4 years ago, this used to be the best place to eat in stafford, it was family run and service and food was fantastic, however now it is just a poor excuse for a restaurant, the woman behind the bar was very rude, the service was very poor and the food sub standard, what went wrong, you should bring back the old staff.

We have dined at No 5 Gaolmews Restaurant, Stafford, 20+ times in the last 2 years and have had a wonderful meal everytime. The staff are polite and efficient, there is no rush once at your table. The food is fantastic and the menu caters for everybody. The surroundings are pleasent. Excellant food, service, atmosphere and price.

We had an amazing meal here just after Christmas we have booked again for easter. Honestly say that this is the nicest restaurant we have been to for a very long time. The food was explicit.

I have eaten at No 5 on numerous occasions now and I cannot fault the standard of food. There is a good choice of dishes and is well priced to reflect good value for money. There is a nice atmosphere and the staff are very helpful. I would recommend it to anyone.

Visited last night, couldn't believe they have been here for seven years, I had never even heard of it until about a fortnight ago. We booked for 16 bodies for a surprise birthday meal. The girl serving the drinks needed a bit of 'prompting' but in fairness I think she was new. I am always worried when going out in a group as some places struggle to get all the food out at the same time (the old Grainstore was a classic for this) but we all got our food within minutes of each other, excellent with only two serving staff.

Every one of us enjoyed what we had, my rack of lamb being exceptional.

The lighting is at just the right level and the music is not intrusive. I personally thought the prices were on the mark giving excellent value.

Can't wait to go back !

It was on a whim that I decided to go to No5 on Friday night. I booked for 7pm, so only 2 other tables were taken. After being seated, we were asked for what we'd like to drink. Well, I hadn't seen the wine list yet, so how could I know. I chose a glass of red wine and my boyfriend went for a beer. Our starter was king prawns in chilli filo pastry in a bed of salad leaves. The prawns were good, though not extraordinary.

The main was guinea fowl. I was a bit disappointed with it, because it tasted like chicken. The sauce was nice, and the vegetables too. However, overall, it was a bit of a disappointment.

In conclusion, I think that the food in the menu sounds nice, but the taste is not accomplished.

I had dinner here on a Friday night. At the beginning, the service was quick because we came at 7.30pm. The menu was attractive. I had pheasant and my partner had the duck. The duck was good, but my pheasant was hard, and it tasted like chicken. The vegetables were nice, but the salad seemed to have been bought in m&s, and the dressing as well (I think we use just the same at home). My partner had a starter: king prawns in chillin filo pastry. Nice idea but not very accomplished. Very similar salad to the side salad in the main course. I had the chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Good but nothing special; could be a bit more moist. He had the maltesers and baileys cheesecake. Well, it was a cheesecake with 3 maltesers and covered with baileys... a bit strange. The house wine was very good. For both we paid 50 pounds. So I found it a bit too expensive for the food they cook, so I would not recommend it.

Everyone should go to No 5 Gaolmews Restaurant in Stafford. They have excellent food, good service, and the waiters/waitresses can't do enough to help you. I would recommend it to anyone.
