Maleficent

It has a great large screen, 3D, special effects, and cinematic psychedelic Wizard of Oz influence. Some funny dark humor moments. Would have liked more of a back story on Maleficent's people and what family did she specifically come from and so on. All in all, held my attention.

The previews made my BF think this movie was going to have fight scenes. It does, but it is a Disney movie and that needs to be kept in perspective. It is a GREAT movie for children, elderly people and perhaps female adults of a certain age. I can't imagine males 16-50 really enjoying this movie though. It is beautifully done, great storyline and Angelina Jolie is a great actress, no one can deny. All in all, not happy I paid cinema prices to see this, but definitely worth seeing at least once in my lifetime.

I went to see the movie last Wednesday on the day of release in the uk at the cinema. I got 2 for 1 as it was orange Wednesdays, I was roped into going by my other half and I am surprised to say that it was actually a very pleasant experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and I'm not going to go into too much detail as I don't wish to spoil it.

What I can say however is that the movie was like an old school classic Disley movie and I believe it is the correct path for Walt Disney to go in.
