Insidious

This is the most scariest movie I have seen for the year 2011. At first I was having hard time understanding what does the title mean, but as the film keot on playing, it slowly reveals the story.Furthermore, it had the creepiest music.

The story was not that all about a typical spirit invasion or exorcism. It was really unique horror movie and I am wishing that it will have a second part.

Highly recommended, but you should not watch it all by yourself or if you wish to watch it all by yourself, then better enjoy it on day time.

Recently watched Insidious on Blu-Ray and didn't really have any expectation of what it would be like. No-one I knew had seen it, the poster looked a bit dubious and possibly giving away the plot twist (which it did) but I thought what the hell.

It starts like any other horror film. People live in a house, weird things start to happen, people suspect that house is haunted; one of them doesn't believe the other etc etc.

Then the "twist" happens. *Spoiler* It's not the house but their son who is haunted. From this point the film makers could have really gone to town and created a very sinister other world and gone that step further than Paranormal Activity for example. Instead it begins to feel a bit farcical and the ending! My god. I was shouting out in frustration (as I do) at the end. The actual wrapping up of the film isn't so bad but they way they get there is just plain silly. Worth watching with friends but don't blame me if you lose your voice shouting at the characters.
