The Happening

Although I found it interesting, The Happening failed in delivering what everyone wanted and that was a plot that really stud out.

Alot of my friends hated it and really there are better films out there..

it was okay, The Happening had a good story line and some interesting parts but you would only wacth it once of twice, it gets a bit boring after watching it more than that. The actorts play really good parts and the ending isnt dissapointing either so over all i think its a good film but just the once

The concept of The Happening was promising and despite my previous experiences with M Night Shyalamans pittiful attempts, I was intrigued.

I should have trusted my initial instinct and not bothered. The film was quite well cast with Mark Whalberg, Zooey Deschanel and John Leguizamo however after the first 5 minutes the film slowly drizzles to the end credits. I read a few reviews of this film prior to seeing it which painted a better picture than reality. I must admit that I had no expectations of this film as M Night Shyalaman hasn't really set the screen alight for some time, however the reviews I had read promised at least a gore fest if nothing else.

I didn't get any gore fest, in fact I think the only bit of blood was a trickle down an old lady's face towards the end.

The film was drab, very poorly acted which was quite surprising given the calibre of the actors involved, Whalberg came accross as wooden and camp, Deschanel may as well have not said anything and just have doe eyes all the way through, even Leguizamo (who usually gives his all) just didn't look as though he bought into this film.

At best it was a straight to DVD film, at worst (and there were many cringworthy parts) it should have gone straight to the Horror Zone channel for 'B' movies.

This film is the worst film we have seen in years and we should have got our money back. I wish we had walked out after the first 10 min as we wasted an evening on this film.

M night SHYLAMEN has let himself down big style with this film, the script at best was very weak, and some of the acting was very wooden,

this film should have gone straight to dvd,

i cant slate all of it as some of the ways people die are quite good,

i will not spoil it for you, but the ending is very weak,

and feel its being set up for a sequal,

my own views are dont waste over a fiver at the cinema, wait for it to come out on dvd,

Just watched The Happening with a load of mates trying to kill time, we all agreed it was absolute rubbish, you don't see any of the killings and generally has a poor script and acting. The film starts off okay but soon you will just be bored and wish you hadn't bothered wasting money coming to watch it.

The happening gives you 100 creative ways to consider death.The previews seem more interesting than the movie itself.Elliot(Mark Wahilberg) flees his home following what people think is a terrorist attack on all major cities in the north east.A neuro toxin released in the air is making people commit mass suicide. Soon the attacks spread to even smaller townships and people realize that the cause of the attacks is something else..something rather simple..yes plants and trees..Guess this movie teaches viewers that if you mess around with mother nature..she will strike back. A movie that will make all supporters of green peace truly proud..

The Happening follows the story of Elliot (Mark Wahlberg) who flees his home, along with his family as mysterious happenings sweep across the world causing death and destruction in their wake. As contact with the rest of the world starts to diminish, the group realise they only have each other. The Happening is a brilliant film which really lives up to the hype. After seeing The Happening Trailer, I knew this was a movie I had to see and I was not disappointed and so I hope this The Happening Review will encourage you to go see it too!
