The Price Is Right!.....
I bought my Falcon second-hand from a cash-conversion shop.
It was dusty and very obviously had been hanging on the wall a fair while. I tried it-wildy out of tune. Tuned it to drop-D,tried again. I was pleasantly surprised at the 'brightness' of it's tone. NO fret buzz, even though a few of the frets were less than smooth. The strings have been replaced,as the strings of ANY 2nd-hand guitar should be. While they were off,the frets were checked and where necessary smoothed. Now,it plays as well as ANY acoustic in my collection-but at a peanut price! This stuff about needing constant retuning...well,if you leave the original strings on,yes. They're not great.. A decent set solves that. Yes,the body is thin-but a thicker body does NOT necessarily mean a good tone, that depends mightily on the quality of materials used.All-in-all a good instrument for a small price.
Ok-a precis; good guitar for it's money-change the o/e strings and be very happy-don't expect Martin quality for Mickey Mouse money and you'll be ok.

Does The Job
OK so this guitar isn't brilliant compared to a £200 instrument, but (and its a huge but) its only £50.

Dismal!
Upon first buying the guitar I was impressed by it's apperance however unfortunatley, I wish I could say the same about the actual quality of the product. The guitar need vigurosouly re-tuning everyday and the actual body of the guitar crush into my solar plexus alot. The re-stringng process is what really made me lose it! The guitar was almost impossible to re-string and after trying every method under the sun to fit the strings back into the guitar I eventually gave up. After sending John Hornby Skewes (the manufacturor) a pleasent yet frustrated e-mail my problem was still not awnsered.
In conclusion this product is definatley a no-go, I hate to be 'that guy' to dismiss the product completley, but it really is a one star guitar.
Well macadmaia nuts, how about that.

Not Good!
After having the guitar for a few months it needs tuning practically every day and then eventually it wont tune. As soon as its in tune the strings snap and the restringing design is absoloutly terrible, you need to put your hand through the hole (wich has very little space for moving around) and then try and thread the string through to the top! Seriously dont get it!
Either you are buying cheap strings or you are doing something very wrong. I have a few guitars and one of these [actually a Montana Jag 6100 but it's the same guitar] to bash about with. I bought it secondhand for £20, cleaned it up, lowered the action, put some decent Elixir strings on it that came off my 1975 Epiphone FT-150 Bard [put La Bella Silk & Steels on that], and it plays really quite well. It's not loud and articulate like a Guild, but it cost pennies, and it's quite full bodied in its sound, if a wee bit muddled. As far as stringing the intrument, you don't put your hand into the soundhole [I suppose you could], but take a bridge pin out and pop the string in through the top, replacing the pin. Yes, some strings have big ends on them that necessitate going through the soundhole. Simply, don't buy them. Lastly, new strings go out of tune even on a good guitar. However, if you are stringing almost any guitar correctly it will not go out of tune badly by itself after the strings have settled in. Lots of things can affect strings staying in tune so don't blame the guitar just because it is cheap.
After a few months - you should have already changed your strings a few times.
Restringing a falcon is just the same as any other acoustic guitar. Even £3500 Martins.

Guys,i I Bought This Guitar In London For 50 Quids
Guys,i I bought this guitar in London for 50 quids.....what do you guys want from a guitar that cost this little ?? I personally thought it was a beautiful sounding and smooth playing guitar !! I'd even buy another one,you see I've tried some 300-400 £ Corts or Ibanez that sound like s*** compared to the Falcon !! For a backup or beginner guitar,I'd definetely reccomend buying one (or even two).Best value for money ever

Bought For Me As A Christmas Gift. First Impressio
Bought for me as a Christmas gift. First impressions were good, on closer inspection not so good. Poor paint work, overspray in the sound hole, fingerboard poorly finished with black paint, binding cracking, machineheads are very poor. Other points are the materials, the actual body must be made from the thinest wood ever! Lifted it and it hardly touched my Sg and it cracked! CRAZY! finally neck to think and badly contructed.
So, for 50 quid people would say its ok, but for a little bit more you can buy a half decent guitar! Also something else that bothers me is "suitable for beginners",,,nonsense! Beginners need the best to get them started! Overall, its your choice! If your on a budget, go for it. But if you can wait I urge you to do so, because I guarantee you will junk this for something else within 6 months!
In nearly 20 years its the worst I've ever seen or player. Rubbish.
Goodluck.

This Guitar Sounds Like A Professional Expensive A
This guitar sounds like a professional expensive acoustic guitar that you can play all styles on, only it comes as a very reasonable price. If you are an amateur or just beginning to learn the guitar this is a great option to start with.
