The Last Series Of A Brilliant Show
And so begins series 3 of Forbrydelsen with Danish detective Sarah Lund still isolating her family, her colleagues whilst doggedly perusing a kidnapper of a young girl who is also a killer.
Unlike series 2, which admittedly had to stand up against the brilliance of the first one, this feels darker and much more entwined with politics and business. There is also a brand new jumper, this time a jaunty number with a go-faster chevron although rumour has it that the old staples will be making a farewell appearance too.
Sarah has a new partner in the shape of an old flame who now works for Special Branch, Brix is back and appears to be allowing Lund some extra leash to do her own thing. Unfortunately her mind is not always on the case as her estranged family start to loom and threaten to interfere with her mind.
So far so good. It's dark and gloomy with plenty of suspects and secrets still to come. The only downside is that I have to wait a week for more episodes!
When it's all over I might just shed some tears as this has been one of the best programmes on TV for years. At least I'll have the jumpers to remember her by.
