A Very Bad Experience
Do not touch
Having switched to another supplier from Flow Energy I received an email giving my final balance which advised that my final payment would be taken via direct debit, as usual, to close the account.
Several months later I am receiving phone call from a a number unknown to me that leaves an answer phone message asking me to contact them quoting a reference number.
Having no idea what it was I googled the number to find it belongs to a debt collection agency. Having looked into it further the name of the agency regularly appears with the name of Flow Energy.
Armed with this information I looked back into my old Flow Energy account to find the amount of the final bill still showing as outstanding.
it has been several months since I was informed via email that this amount would be collected and in those months I have had no communication from Flow Energy via email, post or any other method to inform me that the amount had not been taken from my account. For Flow energy simply to forward my account to a debt collection agency is outrageous.
Having hung up on me the first time I rang to resolve this issue I am now informed by another Flow Energy representative, after ringing again, that they are looking into it.
I do not have any overdue payments with anyone and have a very good credit rating which I am hoping will not be affected by an issue that I am no way at fault for.

Think Before You Switch
I switched over to Flow from EDF and for the first year all was fine, then they put my DD amount down (great I thought) 6 mths later they said I am £5,000 in arrears and put my DD up to over £1300 per month they offered to change my tariff but after two emails they are not even coming back to me even after agreeing to change.
I WOULD THINK BEFORE YOU SWITCH!!!!
EDF were a lot cheaper in the long run.

Appalling Billing, Customer Service And Processes.
They have appointed an executive whose main experience is taking companies into administration. That says it all. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I Wish I Hadn't Changed To Flow
I changed to flow energy on 6th June 2017 one thing I liked was they promised if I submitted meter readings they would produce a monthly account which was good as I've never been in debt and don't want to,but it seems flow want me to get in debt as monthly bills are not forthcoming and it takes can you believe an incredible six working days at least to update meter readings I submit. I certainly would not recommend flow if you like to keep IP to date with your bills if you want to get in debt then change to flow

Best Customer Service By Far!
Having been with many different energy companies over the years and experiencing very different levels of customer service I can truly say that Flow have always come up top!
The staff are quick to answer the phone and are always polite, friendly and professional which is much better than many of the other experiences I have had.
The website it easy to use and I can put in my own meter readings, which suits me!
Fair prices, excellent service and no massive bills...what more could I ask for.

Completely Disorganised Company
I changed to Flow energy from my previous supplier after my fixed price deal expired they were the cheapest so I signed up on a fixed rate deal, so I thought. Around six months in they emailed me to say they could no longer supply my electricity at that price and they were putting me on a variable tariff and increasing my direct debit they kindly said I could change supplier without penalty. I decided to stay with them as the cost was comparable with other suppliers. 10 months went by and they still had not increased my direct debit then out of the blue they tripled the amount to come out of my account per month. When I complained they were completely unhelpful and the person on the phone just could not understand why I was upset and just advised that I change supplier. DO NOT USE

Sitting On My Money For Ages.
Flow energy had about £18.8 million cash in the bank last December with about 200,000 customers.
I am over £200 in credit which has built up since I joined them over a year ago. I have asked for a refund and my direct debit to be reduced but they seem to be stalling.
I can only suggest that if they are treating their other customers the same as me then we are keeping them cash positive. I don't think OFGEM would think this is being fair to say the very least.
They seem to be very good at taking your money but very poor at returning what is rightfully yours.
DAYLIGHT ROBBERY?
I have had a similar experience. I am over £600 in credit and asked for a refund of £500 which they said would take 7 working days. The money hasn't arrived in my account and in the meantime they have taken another direct debit at the overblown rate that led to them owing me so much. I 'm worried now that I might not get my money back, so I have cancelled my direct debit to limit the loss.
Oh no! I just switched to them after having a similar experience with iSupplyEnergy.
Will have to monitor my bills with Flow closely and make sure things don't get out of hand.

Help Is Not Available!
Flow Energy appear to be a friendly, helpful organisation, but, and this is the problem, if you need to talk to them about your bill then you will hit a brick wall. Flow Energy put my direct debit payments up by £28 per month, and I am unable to get anyone to explain to me why. I have phoned on several occasions, and also emailed them. As you are not allowed to speak directly to their accounts department, I was promised that they would call me back, but this never happened. When I rang again they then promised an email from the accounts department, but again this has never happened. So I have now given up and switched providers. Flow Energy do not appear to have sufficient staff members to be able to help customers with account queries, much of their organisation is dealt with by automated computer generated responses, which can be extremely frustrating. So when you need help, there is no help available.
I am experiencing similar problems. Flow make out they care but they ignore letters and put up the direct debit without consulting. They forgot to collect my payments for the first few months and I had to send them a cheque in the end as they didn't put matters right.
Awful Customer Service
I have recently swapped to Flow and wish I had stayed with previous company. I submitted day and night readings and according to one of the call centre staff, the readings were put into the wrong boxes by mistake. It takes ages to eventually speak to someone - e-mails are not acknowledged. When I spoke to one lady she left me hanging on the phone while she found out to put in a complaint that I asked her to make on my behalf. After 20 minutes she still had not returned to my call so I had to ring off and go through the whole process again.
As you can imagine I am not a happy bunny. I have come to the conclusion that Customer Service is just as important as cheaper tariffs.
Apparently Flow is in the middle of a big recruitment drive but I think they should have put this in place sooner!

Best So Far
After switching many times Flow are the best supplier I have experienced. Efficient UK call centre. Just moved my PV feed in tariff to them as they send out reading reminders which SSE dont do.
