The Sip Handymig Is An Excellent Hobby Mig, Which

The SIP Handymig is an excellent hobby MIG, which is perfect for DIY jobs.

Whilst capable of only 105 amps at maximum, is still ideal for fabricating and vehicle repair. The current and wire feed controls are easy to use, so are less daunting for the novice who is getting to grips with the art of MIG welding. The instructions are easy to follow, and the welder is supplied with a small spool of 0.6mm mild steel wire, 350g carbon dioxide cylinder, regulator and facemask.

In use, the welder performs well, but check that the wire has not become corroded - poor and erratic wire feed will result. If well maintained, a Handymig will run like clockwork all day long.

A small hobby MIG like this will set you back approximately 150-170 pounds, though it does pay to shop around. Wherever you go, though, you won't be disappointed with this cracking little welder.

They say that parts a easy find. If they are so easy to find I guess that I could use some help in finding a place on the WEB where I might be able to find some parts.

Q&A

migmagmog

Does the power have to be on for the gas to come through? I am new to mig welding but I thought you should be able to hear the gas by pressing the trigger if the gas is on even with no power.

Thanks.
