Makers Of Drambuie Lying
The makers of Drambuie are lying when they say the recipe has not changed. Those of us who have drank this liqueur for over 30 years know it has been changed by the makers. For them to claim the recipe has not changed is a bare faced lie. It used to tingle on the lips , it had a beautiful soft deep taste with elements of orange and honey. Now it is sharp and bitter. Shame on the idiots who have dumped down a once great product in the pursuit of greater profit. I bought a bottle today to enjoy over Christmas, what a waste of money, never again.

It Has Become Sugar Syrup
I have been enjoying Drambuie for over 30 years. And then for some years did not buy it for some unrelated reasons. Last month I decided I would spoil myself again by buying a bottle for my weekly after-dinner pleasure.
What a deception. This does not even remotely taste like it used to. First I thought it could be my changed taste because of my age. Then I found these reviews and learned that the recipe was changed indeed.
WHY DID THEY DESTROY SOMETHING WHICH WAS PERFECT?

Used To Love This But What Have They Done!
I used to love Drambuie and my wife and I enjoyed many happy evenings imbibing the odd glass or two. Just picked up a bottle recently and what a disappointment. They may say they haven't changed the recipe but it tastes so bland and even slightly minty so someone is telling a porky pie. One of my favourite drinks has now been relegated to the "never again corner". From now on, it will be the Kings Ginger for me which is made from a recipe that has remained constant over the centuries.

Flavor Solution
I would have solved it by mixing 4 parts (4/5) of Drambuie with one part (1/5) of Chivas Regal. It looks like the taste of the original Drambuie before the bottle and recipe changes.

It’s Not The Same
I have been drinking Drambuie for over 30 years. It was my nectar. It’s not the same. It was alway thick and tasty and you could still have left over in the glass. Now it has no flavour, it’s tasteless, watery and definitely not nectar. Way too expensive for the rubbish they sell now. Shame on the company for destroying this Beautiful drink. I bought my last bottle tonight to give it one last chance. As far as I can see I might as well throw my money away. Bye bye the dram that was.
A very disgusted customer.

Changed Recipe
Drambuie has been my favourite liqueur for ages, until they recently changed the recipe. Although they claim they haven't, it's obvious. It now tastes cheap, sugary, there's no character or any depth of flavour at all, just horrible. With great sadness i'll never buy it again, unless they change the recipe back to the original, that is.
Agree - now you should switch to Glayva

I received a bottle at Christmas. It's been a while since I have indulged.but I noticed the same change in flavor and was disappointed. I assumed it was a deliberate change made by the manufacturer which has compromised the product and its appeal.

Bring Back The Old Recipe.
Had a bottle bought as a Xmas present. Hated the smell, taste of it. Tasted completely different than it used to. Never buy another bottle unless it's the original recipe. So disappointed in it. Even the bottle had changed.

What in H_ll happened to the National Treasure that was Drambuie !?
My favorite winter Liqueur is now cheap, insulting?
What self-crowned 'expert' with mutant taste buds
approved the new outrageous recipe ?!!
We should all demand that the original, historic, unique and brilliant Drambuie
be protected as a World Heritage Treasure : it was loved universally
and on a global scale for centuries !
How could Scotland's Government allow this cultural destruction ?!
On with the kilts and blast the bagpipes !
until the ears of Scotland are deafened to anything but
the end of this humiliating blow and extinction of national pride !

I noticed the same variation in taste and color. New Drambuie is lighter in color and more whisky-like in flavor with honey and herbs noticeably diminished.
